That's another one! Squad spawning only on the spawn leader/beacon. Makes the SL an important role and adds more tactical depth while reducing the amount of clusterfracking that goes on. BS IMO that you can wipe out 3/4ths of a squad only for them all to re-appear IN YOUR BASE 10 or so seconds later.

The problem is that the plot does not make any sense like Battlefield 3.
In my opinion a plot like CoD MW + Battlefield Multiplayer + Battlefield graphics = Way to go

In fact I am not expecting nothing special from this sequel, but who knows.

 

One of the reasons I love Hardcore

 

Only ever play hardcore....
Normal is so shockingly crap...

FACT.

 

But BF3 was almost a tick box of Modern Warfare. There was the Death from above bit (Going hunting), the nuke that 'unexpectedly' goes off, the middle eastern bad guy, the Russian at the back pulling the strings, the squad getting wiped out by an aircraft (on a bridge as well!) and the 'shocking' moment where a player character dies a gruesome death.

But like a lot of things EA has a hand in, it got the tick boxes right, but somehow missed the point in between.

I really want Bad Company 3 and massive gun battles around Alaska's toxic lakes, it would be a nice twist on the usual artillery/mines used for out of bounds.

 

Tbh, its about the only reason I play COD over bf3. Bf3 looks nicer, has vehicles and is more teamwork based but getting kicked off a server for no reason just makes me quit the game (rage quit ). At least on COD they usually hack the whole game so everyone has superpowers

 

Dedicated servers are awesome. End of.

 

I suppose its win-win for EA, they get paid for other people to run servers. However, I cant remember did bf3 launch with dedicated servers?

 

I think its win-win for us to. We get better admin support (usually) and can have the most popular game types/maps... If you want a 24/7 Metro 64 Man, you can go and find it straight away.

 

I'm sure it's been said a million times..... but i want BF2 in a new engine!

6 man squads, 7 classes, a commander, destroy-able assets, a UAV, vehicle drops, massive maps.

And if your there Santa...... 128 player servers / maps!

 

You know I'm not down with massive player count. I don't enjoy the cluster f*ck maps and really liked how some BF2 maps could switch between small, medium and large/ XL sizes for different player counts. In BF3 I filter by 16/24 player servers.

So that's my request. Adaptive level sizes.

Old news fella! theres are 3 or 4 more hints at 2143 will be coming, but not as a full game, it will be like BF1943.

 

I didnt see any mention of it in this thread and i quite literally crashed my chopper when i spotted it! Love an easter egg!

BF1943 didnt even make it to PC did it? Anyway i'm going to put a little faith in Dice and hope that it is a decent remake of 2142. The unlock tree and class balance was brilliant. I liked that you could customise each kit to be light or heavy, the recon carbine / C4 combo was immense!!

 

Yeah sounds good to me. I thnk we can all agree that CoD Single player dicks on BF single player, but BF MP is a billion times better

I heard they're bringing back the commander role which was music to my ears; it's been sorely missed in BF3 imo.
