    Delicious PI.
What kind of tape are you using? I'd love to know about any oil/coolant resistant stuff I can use like that.

If you gold plate the blocks, I'd have a look at some Mayhems Aurora nebular blue, it'll look amazing with the gold. The blocks are awesome

Glad you to hear it dude, thanks very much for following.

    Yes build a case! :)
Thankyou dude, I really happy with how it turned out.

Thankyou sir! It sure is tiny! :D

Thanks C4B12! Hopefully its looks better when assembled! :)

Its just double sided (like sh*t to a blanket) tape, the reason it stuck so well because I was cutting an over sized piece of acrylic and the coolant couldn't get under it.

I was thinking the same dude, I may have to try a few colours and see what you guys think.

    Thanks for following Cheaps :)

    Thankyou Dan, :)

I will use Mayhems coolant, get a few colours and let you guys choose! :)

    ^ :D Thanks

Nor can I dude, hope it turns out as well as yours did fella. Your looks schweeeet! :thumb:

I will be going to the platers tonight and see how much the gold plating costs for all the aluminium and let you know! :blah:

    Hahaha! :D
Thankyou dude, I did a mock assembly of it yesterday just to check I had anything done berfore plating, am pretty please with it :)

    --------------------------------------------------------------------->

    Coolant Update:

I messaged Mayhems last night to ask whether or not there dye affects plating in any way?

    This is his response:

"If gold plating just use a clear fluid.

    Pink will stain.

    Michael L Wood"

What do you guys reckon? Should I risk it, or go with already mixed coolant and see if that has any affect?

I would never put coolant in my machines so I say just distilled with some silver.

By coolant I mean, just dye'd fluid from Mayhems... ;)
You would leave just distilled with no colour?

Yes sir, I dont put any of that junk in my PC but thats just a personal preference.
If I want color, I get colored hose and still use my distilled and silver.

I ran systems for over a year with little top offs and after I took the blocks apart to upgrade they were still clean.

I have to say I admire you skills, the time it must have taken to sit down, design and program all the tool paths and measurements and then setting up the machine to cut it. It must take a lot of patience and concentration to do that. How long did it take you to do all the prep work and design? The design over all is looking great I applaud your dedication and creativeness. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing more.

I see, well I was thinking of just getting a bit of scrap plated and leave it in some dye for a while see if there is any colour change.

Hey Mechh, thankyou very much. It took me a few hours to model the boards waterblock up as there was not alot of space for it to go, so alot of that time was wasted by me having to make silly alterations to bits and pieces. The acrylic on top of the boards waterblock was slighty tricky as you will see in the next update, because I had forgot to mirror the model over before I cut it so that was a waste of an hour setting up and cutting. I went home after that, throwing my toys out of the pram! - I think the whole design and machining has taking me about 32 hours. The etching on the res/rad block took 8 hours.. As I was etching with a snapped 0.4mm snapped drill bit, and with a cut depth of 0.3mm it couldn't take alot of abuse. The feed rate was at some thing ridiculous like 0.8m/min, and im a man who doesn't run my machine slow!. But I left it over night so wasn't really a big problem. The polishing has been the hards part for me, im not really the sit down and spend hours on making something shiney, but had to for the plating. And couldn't really get the apprentice to sit there and do it! :nono: - There has been a few hiccups don't get me wrong, but they happen so its all part of the fun.
Thankyou again for your kind words dude, sorry for rabbiting on! :thumb:

Thanks K.3nny :D Should really get 6 pumps on this build! :thumb:

Size of the components in this are crazy, the awesome kinda crazy. :D:rock:
Reminds me a lot of AngelOD how he watercooled his Wii but more microscopic, flipping awesome, I love a bit of modding overkill. :D:rock:

Been viewing this but been holding back for it to progress. :)
