I am in love man! seriously this is one of my favorite "case shaped" cases at the moment. Just simple done perfectly.

Hey Brodholm, I am joining the "This is my favorite scratch build" club as well.

I am planning a case right now and I am looking to make similar fan grills (rounded slots at a 45 degree angle). I can't decide on the size of the slots and the distance between them though.

How big did you make your grill slots and are you happy with their stability?

Yes I am very happy with the stability. I did a test with 3mm alu and 3mm gap. That was "ok" but not optimal. So I did 6mm for the real thing. I think it is something like 5.7mm to get the right number on the side panels. I made a quick print screen from my 120mm fan slot.

Thanks for the screenshot! I was planning on doing 14mm slots with ~6mm spaces, but I used 1.5mm Aluminium sheet metal. Not sure if the smaller slots are enough to account for the lesser material thickness. Now that I know what you used I'm going to do a test before I decide too.
