Im so glad you did something with that horrible blue PCB on the GPU!
That would have killed the build.

hahaha well compared to a 680 or 7970 they are. They are actually very small considering the big punch they have.

    Thank you sir :)

    Exactly the top picture :)
3 layers; one dustfilter, one orange layer and one black top layer. so 2 layers of plexi. Same as the grills on the build. Trying to get the theme through the build.

It is the only thing I don't understand about KFA2. I mean they have great looking coolers and even white PCB versions. Yet these reference ones are blue.

Time for a small update. I did some minor work on the waterblock top and now it fits perfectly and completely flat. So happy with that. Next to this I did some painting. I wanted to paint the PCI backplate black so the back of the case will be full black (and orange) and not show silver or black chrome. I will get covers for the ports I won't be using. Clean, black and clear of dust.

Next to this I started working on the 2 rear fans by Xilence. I thought I would do my regular routine of getting rid of the stickers, removing the lid and o-ring and the fan drops off.... WRONG!!!!! :nono: :miffed:

Xilence fans cannot be removed. SOOOOOOOOOOOOO I had to do it oldschool style with a lot of covering tape lolz. "welcome to this weeks episode of being creative with masking tape, I am your host for the evening Dr Hukkel"

I have started to sleeve my cables so I can do some testfitting and see if I need to change up some colours.

Since it was so sunny today and light untill very late I shot a quick few photos of the 24 pin. Man I should invest into a better camera. My neighbour gets sick from me asking him for help all the time xD
But there would have been a much better photo of the gorgeous sleeving that way.
Something inside of me told me I needed white in there. I HAD to use 2 strings of white.

The combo I (for now) have chosen is Black, orange, black, shade 19, white, black and that mirrored.

Initially didn't even notice the shade 19 but really love how that orange sets off against the black!

Thank you Azariel. The shade 19 is really noticable in real life. It just gives another dimension to the black.

    Thanks a lot Nate!!!

    Thank you very much

As I have shown I am now busy doing some sleeving. Deciding the colours and patterns and the actual sleeving itself. It is not easy measuring stuff because the build is not at my home atm due to some renovation going on here making a mess and causing lots of dust. So I have go move to where it is and back every time. Not really ideal. Today I went there to see if the 24 and double 8 pin were done right and if I needed to adjust the length of the 4 6-pins before sleeving them. While I was there I thougt I would take a few pictures of everything together. Just to let you know what is going on. Enjoy.

Thank you very much, I am also looking forward to it :D
Sadly parts are expensive so it'll be a few months.

Small update. I need two more panels for the final build up of a lot of stuff. I am gettign 3 panels made up atm. This is the 3rd (not needed right away) part. The 5,25 inch bays side cover. The gfx are actually a lightbox so will light up. I hope to have the render of the rear panel soon as well. The last one will be the midplate.

Today was the big day. The parts arrived! I couldn't wait to go home and open up the box.

Just to make it clear; this box is for TIM. And that's me :hip:

    The lot:)

One illuminated midplate. I still need to make the holes in there. Forgot to ask him that

    The rear panel.

The 5,25 bay side cover with lightbox behind the gfx.

The mobo tray extension plate customised for the Gigabyte Z77X-UP7.

A spare top grill parts because I cracked the original one because I am super clumsy

The lightbox on the rear of the bay side cover.

    Couple of rear panel shots.

One more shot of the illuminated midplate and some random parts that came with it.

I hope I can start putting it together asap. Start tomorrow preferably.
I still need one waterblock but that should be arranged very soon.

I have to thank Ricardo again for these AMAZING parts   :thumb:
Seriously man the craftmanship on these parts is second to none. You are a plexiglass wizard. I am honoured to have you on my side for this project.
