A good second episode though only 8 more to go, would be good if we could get to say a 22 episode season.
Brilliant ending to the most recent episode, expected something like that to happen but awesomely done. Enjoyed the rest as well, and horribly creative cruelty to Theon Greyjoy (not that it's undeserved).
I hope this is the one I've been waiting for, its the part where Dany has to pay for her army, you'll know what I mean once you've seen it...
Was a really good ending to the episode, nice to see things moving foward and a few characters dying off.
As a reader of the books I'd just like to offer huge amounts of laughter and hilarity at the massed hysterical responses to the most recent episode. Laugh? I nearly shat. Right now, a couple somewhere is suddenly rethinking their Game of Thrones themed wedding
I agree, it did shock me when I read it but what a hell of a way to get your attention! I had to back and re-read that part of the book to make sure I wasn't imagining it. Way to go with the spoliers in todays edition of the Metro (haven't seen any other newspapers yet), I haven't had a chance to watch the episode yet but at least I knew it was coming.
The following link is particularly amusing for the reactions of non-book viewers to the latest episode As a reader, i thought the episode was still pretty hard to watch!
I haven't read the books - I hadn't even heard of them until the series appeared. It's fair to say the latest episode was something of an eye-opener! You have to respect the fact that changes of that magnitude can happen mid season - most shows would end a season on a humdinger like that.
They do, there seems to be a problem with weddings in Game of Thrones, that's all I'm prepared to say to prevent spoiling what happens.
I'm not expecting the royal wedding to go off without a hitch. Anything to piss in Joffrey's coffee - what a hateful character - even Jamie Lannister has some redeeming qualities! If Joffrey survives (nobody is safe in this show), I'm expecting him to become even more unhinged.
I knew this was coming and it was still unbelievably tense, probably even more so than if I hadn't known... Also one of the most depressing things about that link is the amount of people who think he's called Ron/Rod Stark
Finally watched it last night and even though I knew what was about to happen I still felt tense. In fact I think the tension was worse because if you didn't know what was coming you wouldn't have the anticipation what was about to be unleashed. Roll on the next wedding...
Joffries getting married in the morning! Ding dong the imp is going to shine! I disagree. He clearly knows nothing.
It was a good episode, only one more to go before the end of the season. Though with quite old characters leaving the show it will be interesting to see if the new ones can keep the raitings up.
So the season is over, mostly clearing things up and setting the scene for next season which is next year. Wonder if they could speed up production to bring the seasons closer together, as a years wait is quite alot for 10 episodes.
