Woo. Hugely disappointed with Valve's handling International 3 ticket sales. Been at my desk since 9:55am, tickets go on sale at 10, it's now 11:22 and tickets are sold out. Attempting to buy in game failed to add items to cart and pages frequently 503'd. Attempting to buy from web browser, log in system failed thus preventing checkout. Should have stopped sales when it was apparent the vast majority were unable to purchase tickets, while the lucky few buy 10+ tickets and resell them for extortionate prices.
NO, they are tickets to the actual venue (In San Fran if I remember). Anyone can watch the matches online, either by Twitch or tha other streaming site I can never remember the name of, or ingame.
Mate I feel your pain. I fortunately managed to get a ticket a couple days ago, through dota2trade on reddit. Cost me about $220 AUD though... then again, considering I had a few thousand bucks in accommodation and flights booked, I was willing to pay the extortionate price. Valve will definitely have to go to a bigger venue next year.
A buddy of mine grabbed a ticket for 150USD soon after sales closed. It was tempting to buy one since my travel costs are less than $10 for public transportation but alas I couldn't simply on the principle of the matter.
Would be good if we could get enough people together to get a BT game together so newbies like me could get some practice in that isn't against bots.
Some really entertaining play from RoX.KIS today in the qualifiers. Hope they make it to ti3. Have spent way too much time watching the games the last couple of days!

I'v found a lot of the qualifier games so one sided. Not a single real come back from more than 5 kills down. Hope that changes as the standard of teams improves.

Hmm I was wrong about the dota2 community being not bad I like it less and less the more I play. Pre-muting might be the way forward. I played with one guy who called the whole team feeders after he was 2-0 up and everyone else had died about once (0-1). Made no sense that early in the game and he essentially destroyed the game for our team. I think he was just a bad player trying to make the most of "his" 2-0 score line. It would be interesting to play this game without the personal K/D/A and see what affect it has. I think it encourages childishness. The game is so team oriented they don't really make any sense. I had a different player try and insult me after I disabled 4 people so he could gank. My score was 0-1-8 his was 9-1-something and he starts saying how bad I am.
