    I'm working today.

The aircon in the office wasn't put on today, so it's registering at a delightful 36C in here today.

I'm melting and my arms are sticking to my desk.

Go turn it on then. Do they not teach Office staff how to use the aircon anymore.

Pay my train fare plus expenses and i can teach you.

Google the make/model number, most if not all have a "test mode" which will run the aircon at it's up most potential of turning the office into Hoth.

I use to head-butt the desk at my last place, aircon was never turned on the allow it to work. They use to switch it on like a desk fan and moan it does nothing, then open the window :wallbash:

Bane of my life are people who think aircon works like that.

I would be surprised if it wasn't locked by Scroomes Office manager - I've never worked anywhere where things like that weren't under someone else's control...

Agreed, I'm already having to slap on tons of medical grade suncream that costs 25 quid a bottle, and even that isn't doing me much good in this weather, which can quite easily do me an awful lot of bad.

Suncream isn't really an issue, I'm virtually immune to the sun, it's just the damn heat :( (seriously, I spent 5 days on the edge of, and 2 days in, the Sahara and came back without a tan)

    Bingo.

I work in a rather large building, so the aircon is centrally controlled somewhere down where the Facilities people work. There aren't any controls for it on my floor (trust me, I looked).

It was like coming out of a tropical biosphere yesterday. The fresh air felt amazing.

The outside warms just hit 31, not impressed at all. My cat's taken to stretching out in the bath or the sink.
