The title kind of says it all. In Wal-Mart you can pick up a SurfaceRT for $349 all in. Converted it's around £220.

I have one already and I am a huge fan. However, should I pick up another for the family to use around the house. It's a little heavier than a Pad but it's bloody good at everything else.

    What do you think?

(Oh, I already have spare power supply)

Well, unless you don't have access to your own one when you want because someone else is using it. Then, maybe.

I would look into the T&C's regarding warranty etc before you buy.

I know the T&C's are not as favourable but I've not encountered any warranty issues with mine or heard anything serious. They seem solid all round bar a few touch cover issues.

But waiting for the Surface 2 with full fat 8.1 may be a better option. Thanks for your input everyone, it's greatly appreciated.
