A wise man, I still tie the bottom of my trousers to stop the rats scurrying up my to my man bits. You cannot be too safe.
To people speculating that this thing (or any other thing) will destroy the world, I always say: well, at least if it does, all that other **** you complain and worry about ALL the time will all be destroyed too. It's like a ****-to-worry-about consolidator. If this becomes a realistic concern, we won't have to be worried about anything else.
Our lives occupy such a short slot in time I often see kids and think they are possibly going to see some amazing inventions that I will miss. Then you have people that just throw it away like the teenager that jumped off a bridge cause he was being cyber bullied, sure the explicit video he made would have been embarrassing for what a few weeks? But.. Get some perspective !! That's it your done you idiot your never coming back.
This percolater thing is one hell of a coffee machine. Does it have its own integrated bean grinder ?
That website is completely fake - the world has been destroyed!! twice! and I can prove it too: Do you see the picture? no?! that's because you can take a photo of something that doesn't exist!! /tinfoilhat2cents
Not really - the tech that it takes to build these machines takes a long time to design and assemble. By the time you've finished, tech has moved on to be more powerful (in CERN's case, using the things they've learnt on the current project). Not only that, but it needs configuring for certain beam energies - you get a workable range for one config, but move too far out and the results can be affected. Hence, now we reckon the Higgs exists, they're moving into a different energy range for more science! That, and quite a lot of maintenance:
Whats the point of the pressure relief devices? I thought if the pressure goes over the whole world explodes, so surely they're a bit redundant? Maybe its so that the aliens that wonder what happened to the planet can reconstruct it (as the only thing left on the planet) in a crucial moment involving the Borg/Zerg/Tyranids in a few thousand years.
