St Catherine's Point - Isle of Wight Taken last week when we had nice weather! Used my trusty old D3000 with a Sigma 70-300mm lense.
@stoned, it's part of a mountain ridge in NW Scotland; the mountain is called An Teallach and the photos are taken from the main summit.
I finally took a decent vista photo: Yeeeaaaaah. Lincolnshire! Once in fifty miles, it actually looks nice. Gotta be ready when you see it, the rest of it is just **** towns and ploughed fields.
So I'll bundle them 2 together for a 1 post of things flying in my summer of 2013. Duxford Flying Legends a. Duxford Flying Legends 2013 by wuyanxu, on Flickr b. Never allow it to go to 300mm f5.6 though. C+C are more than welcome :+1 Thanks for looking.
Some really nice photos there from the last week guys! I'm hopeful about catching some decent snaps from the Belgian GP over the next week, followed by Rhyl airshow on the 31st - got to catch XH558 before it's grounded!
Brb, Lancaster. Anyway, hope you don't mind, but made a quick adjustment in PS. You could use GIMP or just about anything else with layers. Just made a brighter copy of the same image, set it as the top layer and made a diagonal layer blend. Quick run over with the Dodge and Burn brushes and it's good to go. The best camera in the world is the one you have in your hands, whatever that may be.
Love the street photography, it's interesting to see just random people from a different part of the world. That landscape is stunning Lenny! @MR Jay, nice work on your composition! Really makes for interesting photos. @Wujanxu, few photos are amazing, and composition is great, but then few other ones are not as great and make the whole thing look less amazing than if you uploaded just three best. @Boiled Elephant, that's a really awesome shot. Play with post processing a bit, you can get some more color out of it. @Jazz, I don't know why. But this just doesn't tickle my fancy. I don't think you did your best with the lighting, especially as so much of your other shots in the portfolio have insanely good lighting. Been working like crazy, here's one from an Indian wedding this past weekend. Indian Dancer by Neo - nimajus, on Flickr
LOVE the dancer! I'm surprised you managed to freeze her at 1/200 with the flash only at 1/16, but whatever, it's a fantastic shot! Here's me for today:
Thanks for the criticism (seriously!). Yeah, it was a little experimental, and there was something about this I couldn't put my finger on, but I think that's what it is!
Love the Indian wedding shot Neo, great colours! and nice composition Wyx. Heres one from me from July that I only just processed. Ive got 2 weeks break now before the biggest event of my year. MotoGP Silverstone UK !!! Il be shooting my idols and I cant wait. Tiger Tiger by Polarity Photo, on Flickr
Thanks mate, it surely does look quite a bit better! I love photography, but it's too expensive for me to buy a better camera, so I need to use my iPod :/ I enjoy it nonetheless though
Two stunning shots imo. The colours and composition of the first are awesome. The overcast sky helps make the colours really pop. The second is just seriously cool. Was there much post processing done to achieve the final results out of interest?
