there not difficult to find, just have a look around for a independent garage that does banger racing and MOT's, usually the right kind of place to ask for an MOT without a cat.. They'll stick the probe up a similar car for the test, and if you get caught they'll just say a cat was present during the test so it's all on you really.

There is a garage out Long Sutton way where all the local Vectra V6 boys use as the owner is part of the owners club, yawn! Anyway many V6 vectra's knocking around this area are de-cat, that all have emission tickets from a 2L zetec mondeo, or if it's a smoker a 1.7 CDTI corsa...

Under any circumstance am I saying this is a legal practice, it's a definite no no!

Took it on that long road from Swakopmund to Windhoek, ~350km, 1700m elevation change, some fun bits on the way, and all within the speed limit.

Now to get her properly run in and then to have some more fun.

Weather is horrendous here.. Driving through town to pick the Mrs up, going round a roundabout at pretty sensible speeds and I feel the rear wheels begin to slide put from under me (should point out the surface of the roundabout are cobbles which are slippery at best on a dry day), little opposite lock and I'm sliding out the corner feeling like Colin McRae..

Does anyone have any experience of importing from japan?

I'm thinking of importing a VR-4 as the model selection here is a bit scarce (I suppose I could always get a Legnum instead).
