I refuse to drink that weak puss that supermarkets call milk. I still remember the non-homogenised full-fat milk that came in glass bottles, with a bit of cream on top.
Coffee: only coffee-flavoured coffee for me, either it be black, espresso or ristretto. Dump in any flavour and I'll spit it out! tea: same as for coffee: only non-flavourish tea like earl grey or black tea are do-able for me, but I'd rather be drinkin coffee. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQxgv4QtKM8 Tea/Milk: as a kid I could drink tea without milk & sugar. Nowadays I can still drop in ( loads ) of sugar in my tea. As a teenager I used to drink coffee with milk (and even with sugar) , but nowadays I spit and cough when I take a sip of coffee with milk (or/and sugar). YUCK! Milk: Fresh for the cow: boiled quickly and than when still hot; hmm jummy! Pasteurised: Demi-Creme. Yes. UHT (Ultra High Temp) No!! No!! No~
This was not belonging to my grandma, I purchased this one in a yardsale for 5$ The tea tray come from a local tea shop.
British Army "field" tea is the bad boy. Hot, sweet and strong! http://joyoffieldrations.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/tea-british-army-1945.html
Indeed. Tea set pics please. Now then, your honey, does thou deliver? I require Nexxo honey in my tea to make my life whole.
Honestly, I actually prefer semi skimmed. I'd love whole milk but I just can't stand the taste of cream. :/
That just sounds wrong and slightly pervy... And to those that think Earl Grey is a girly tea - they couldn't be more wrong. It's a manly tea, with big, bushy sideburns and an elephant rifle. It is called Earl Grey, after all. If you want a girly tea, try Lady Grey instead
I went to a 'Second Cup' this afternoon. They had a gigantic choice of tea.... black, green and chai : / I said with a faint smile '' I'll take a green '' and of course they prepared it with water way to hot. Sometime I wonder why I dont jump behind the counter and prepare it myself ? Oh yeah, the cops will arrest me for that.
This sounds like the grounds for you to open your own tea shop. It'd give me good reason to go to Canada.
Well ever since I got into tea and coffee it's made my whole life more difficult! I'm not satisfied anywhere now!
I know them feels, bro. Over here tea is always served too hot --usually from the superheated hot water/steam spout of some big coffee machine. Even generic tea gets scolded (you'd think that the presence of an industrial-size, four group head espresso machine would indicate that at least they make a decent coffee. But no. They don't fill the group handle properly, and then chase through too much water that is either too hot or too cold). I always explain to people that if your green tea ends up looking amber, your water was too hot and it will taste bitter. It doesn't help that most people's experience of green tea here is some powder in a bag. You're telling me. I work in the NHS, and have to take my own loose leaf tea everywhere and mix cold water with boiling water from the wall-mounted boiler, and hope that I find a decent mug to drink it from that does not have sedimentation layers of petrified instant coffee, milk and tea going back half a century in the bottom.
