stonedsurd - I've fallen in love with the look of that seagull. Sadly I think it may be a bit large for my wrist :(

How big is your wrist? It's a surprisingly small watch compared to modern standards. My wrists are tiny and it fits me very well!

I'm not sure how to answer that without access to a tapemeasure... *goes off and estimates*

With the use of some A4 paper and the internet, about 18cm circumference and maybe 5.5cm diameter...

So just less than 6 inches- about the same as me? It'll be a nice fit! I'll try and get and get a wrist shot of mine up some time.

Taa! never had someone compare wrist size before! That would be excellent if you could. I don't really need a new watch, but I do want one of those rather badly! :D

I got to play with the Galaxy Gear the other day, and boy is that watch really uncomfortable to wear.

My wrist is about 17cm in circumference (just shy of 7 inches) so you have my Sea Gull pics for reference too. FWIW, I think it's fine down to about 5.5 inches, beyond which the elongated lugs might become a problem.

My rule of thumb for good fit is that the lugs shouldn't hang over your wrists. So along with wrist circumference and watch diametre, the width of the flat part of your wrist and the lug-to-lug length of the watch are also important.

Most of the ones that I listed I've seen for ~$200 - $250, well below they're msrp of ~$500 (which is probably a clue). And the Steinhart was on the list in case I could get it for a great deal, well below it's ~$1k brand new price.

Thanks for the suggestions. That Poljot looks pretty decent. I'll admit I really don't know a lot about watches, and was half the reason I posted. Used is definitely not out of the question, and I've been searching various forums with trading sections. Guess I have some searching to do still :).

I love Chrono's myself and I've recently purchased this Tissot PRS516 (not my pic but it looks just like this [more accurate than a catalogue pic])

I only wear a watch at work and need to be able to read off exact times, so:
