Only announced (officially) 3 hours ago. I've been waiting all year for this phone, and now I have splurged. £339 for the 32Gb version. I hope it's good!

To replace a completely obsolete HTC Wildfire.

I went with the white one myself. Always had black phones and I like the black front/white back thing it has going on.

Expected delivery on Wednesday, just so happens to be my birthday

 

1mm longer than the s3 and 1mm thinner. Pretty decent size for me.

I was about to get myself one of these, but now I'm trying to decide between it and the LG G2, the main draw of the G2 being the larger battery.

I think I might wait till they come in stock at CPW and see which one I prefer.

Ordered:- Nexus 5 Black 32GB - invoice says it'll ship on the 8th.

 

The G2 is verging on being too big to be ergonomic IMHO. Still a beautiful device though. I have big hands and was an early adopter of the Dell Streak when everyone else was howling with laughter at the concept of a 5" smartphone, and whilst they are great for almost everything, they are just above the maximum shape for ergonomic comfort particularly when used one handed.

Whilst I'd never choose to go back to under 4", I still feel like 4.5" to 4.7" is the very best compromise between size and comfort.

Many will disagree with me of course (mainly Note users I suspect), but those are my findings from the last several years.

I ordered the 32Gb model this morning. Been waiting weeks for them to release it.

It will be my first Smart phone, since all other phones I've had before I've paid £40 or less for xD

 

Awesome, how do they sound? I like the Schiit stuff rather a lot, especially since they do a nice multi-tiered product line, rather than just cheap or insane pricing, you can engorge your hobby in stages.

 

Gah I am waiting, as I am unsure if I am continuing my contract upon renewal or going Giffgaff etc

I considered a valhalla before going with a little dot, but i'm still sort of tempted to get a magni+modi for my desk, or possibly for my bedroom.

 

Sounds superb. The Magni isn't the most powerful amp I've ever heard. It can get to uncomfortable levels though. I wouldn't like to try and drive a 600ohm set with it though.

Sound quality is very, very clean though. I'm using the Maiko WASAPI plug in for Winamp, which is a bit for bit pass through straight to the Modi. I'm revisiting my FLAC collection all over again
