It was about time I got the case filled with something so I started with the rads and tube res.. The tube res is by no means set to go there, just playing around with some ideas at the moment..

    Anyway, here we go..

Changed from a "point and shoot" to a DSLR and thought I'd post a few better photos..

This post will cover the cpu and motherboard, the final weathering results on the gpu's and the making of the PSU cover..

First of all the FX-8120 and Sabertooth 990FX R2.0

    Final weathering on the GTX470's

..and finally the PSU cover.. starting with the rough "blueprint" ..

Left the glue to harden over night and did a quick test fit ... perfect ;)

After debating which would be the best color to match "Military Green" I started the painting..

First I did a light basecoat..

Then a second coat and some weathering..

A quick test fit for color matching..

    Remember this..?

    It now looks like this..

    ...and this..

Final results.. Hope you guys like it..

    Fantastic work on show here.

Build is extremely apt too, given you live in Croydon :D

I feel your pain man I used to live just up the road (Mitcham and Brixton depending who I was staying with).

Place/s felt like warzones at the best of times :D

Is the 60 bus still running?

    Thanks Waynio.. :)

That is such a flattering comment Craig, thank you so much ;)

To you as well Mr. Owen, thank you very much for everything!!

Thanks Andy, you mean the one between Old Coulsdon and Streatham? It is yes, but I am fairly lucky to just commute via the Tram link, "It's definitely a step up from getting the bus" .. I tell myself..

Luckily, with New Addington so close by Croydon pretty much seems like a leisure centre :D

Thanks for the lovely comment mansueto..

Ok, when I started putting it all together I had a bit of a problem fitting the motherboard with the original XSPC RS240 radiator in the top of the case. Sadly I had to replace it with a newer, narrower EX240.. Not too bad as far as setbacks go.. :thumb:

With the new radiator basecoated, dipped and fitted the motherboard went in without any effort at all..

The memory and gpu's followed shortly after..

    ..and then the cables

The camo is really looking nice, Love how you used hydrographic film on the parts. Just been watching some vids about it on youtube, very cool technique :)
I also just love the PSU enclosure, can't wait to see this getting finished!

Thanks Meelobee.. The hydrodipping is a lot of fun and the results are just mind blowing. Every time you lift the item out of the water the exitement is exactly the same :D

I should be able to get all the photos uploaded today so your wait wont be too long... hopefully

    ...............................

    Tiny little update..

Got all the bits together and started on the plumbing..

Using 12mm copper pipe for the tube..

...and a 12mm OD pipe bender..

    First few bends done.. :thumb:

Found the best place to fit the reservoir..

Replaced the standard side window with the one from Bill at mnpctech.

Took about 5 minutes to swap and looks outstanding..

Did a quick test with SLI bridges, definitely feeling "less is more" with this one..

Got the pump fitted and connected with a few very tight bends..

Also did some coloring on the sleeve to give it a grimy look..
