    This is just amazing!

But let me just ask you: How have you made those light-inlay-strips? How do you get the light so evenly spread out across the strip?

I'm using the same technique as in "Vapor".

The wood is cut. Between two layers of wood I'm gluing brass, acrylic, plexiglass.

And the light is from led strips. That is why it is so evenly spread.

This is absolutely beautiful work... You are one hell of a craftsman. I'm a budding amateur woodworker and I really hope that one day I can create something like this.

    Thank you :)

Small update and progress report. The work goes slowly, because of bonding technology limitations.

    All the time lasts bonding.

I can, however, begin to shape some parts. This is not the final version, but you can see the changes.

And glued joints look like this.

This is just insane looking. The only thing I dislike is the HUGE watermark on every picture.

    Great wood work!

I havent been online for a while but this is really amazing!!!

hate to bring it to you when your almost done but have you heard of arbortech turbo plane? :p
it's basicly a planedisk that you mount to your angle grinder, showels that excessive material away by the sacks!

this is Marc Spagnuolo (the wood whisperer) carving the seat of a chair with it.
EDIT: The carving action start at the 8 minute mark.
edit2: Seems im doing something wrong withwith the youtube linking :/ here's the adress: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5FXu2Ymf_ck

hope that i can help with all the carving :)

The design of the bench is absolutely fantastic! im really envous of it! even in the unfinished state it's! The lizard is truly amazing!

    Thank you :)

And this plane is fantastic!! Pity it costs almost 150 euro in Poland. But I've made some tools for modeling this shapes myself. And abrasive wheels are not bed for fine sanding too;)

no if you're using 36grit or similar it eats wood quite fast, but i have never seen anything like the turboplaner :)

there is another system in sweden known as safe-saw that also fits to a angle grinder, i've used that myself (i sold it to my brother when he was renovating his house and needed something to "freehand-carving" :p) and it's a set of 4 blades with a special holder and costs about 100$ over here :)

It costs about 15-20 euro. And it fits Comité Européen de Normalisation, CEN norms. I'm using it sometimes.

Last pieces of oak are glued. Remains only milling and grinding.

And this is a small staining sample. I've checked only the quality of welds. I do not know what color I will use finally.
