Although I don't believe this should have been banned, it does appear to be yet more western propaganda against the rest of the world and could sour eastern/western relations among ordinary citizens. Maybe that is the view China has taken.

 

To be fair China are a super power that I would expect to team with Russia.

Look into the land China and Russia own.

History is what we see in games and stories etc, what better way than BF4

If push came to shove china dn Russia would go head to head (imo) The US military isn't the all conquering power it was , and china needs ` more breathing space` , look at it recent actions.

 

Last I checked EA does not sell Battlefield in China period. So it been banned is not really relivent as you can not access the servers to play it online either way. The fact they banned it just means people will try to obtain it through over means.

If push come to shove the world would die in nuclear attack from both Russia and USA there will never be another world war between 2 major super powers without nukes been involved. ( America and russia combined have about 20k nukes. Less than 1% of that would destroy the earth as we know it. earth ozone layer would be damaged by multiple detonations) Personally just hope I aint around to see it.

The US would probably be just as pissed if some Russian/Chinese games dev made a game where you had to defend some place or other from the US...

Though if they're pissed at BF4, they've clearly never seen how China is portrayed the Fallout games...

Over here parliament is so feeble it cant even ban child porn. effectively.

You know China is the fastest developing country at the moment, right? They don't give a damn about international patents, and freely reverse engineer anything they can get their hands on. They bought the Russian SU-27 fighter and then built their own improved versions; and they've had some Typhoon variants for the last five years. Outdated airforce?

They have the resources to push their own space programme, have already landed a rover on the moon, and expect to have manned missions to the lunar surface within ten years. You may scoff that the USA did that in the sixties, but it was willingness to spend vast amounts on these things that pushed America to the forefront of military technology.

China and Russia are natural competitors, not natural allies.

Siberia has resources that China needs, and a questionable ability to defend them. China and the Soviet Union actually had a number of battles over contested areas of their border during the 1950s and 1960s. These were real, albeit limited, shooting wars. The US and USSR haven't shot at each-other since 1920 when the US and other western allies sent troops to support the whites during the Russian revolution.

Likewise, the US and Chinese economies are completely dependent on one another for their survival. The Chinese recognize that war is bad for business, and a major war would be very bad for their economic plans.

You want some realistic war scenarios? Try these...

Korean war, part 2 (unlikely, but possible)

China vs. Vietnam over the Spratley and Parcel Islands (local war over resources)

Saudi Arabia vs. Iran, possibly growing out of Syria or Lebanon.

Russia vs one or more of the former Soviet Republics (Georgia war redux)

 

I always thought it was all the valuable technologies England gave America as part repayment for the lend-lease program during WWII that pushed America to the forefront of military technology.

 

How is that? As far as I know any producer will be locked up and the key thrown away.

As for tor us naval labs developed it so military could communicate undetected, wouldn't be much use if it was easy to crack.

 

They apparently `bought ` the Israeli LAVI programme and then built it as the J-10.

as for `aging` Russian tanks - there are reports that KONTAKT-5 equipped T72`s bounced DU shots in the battle of the airport, and returned fired killing abrahms, the german army confirmed the ability of knotakt when they acquired T72`s on re nification.


Kontakt has been replaced by Relikt (T72BM and T99) - and the replacement is bing designed - called Kaktus.

But all equipment is only as good as the operator - the USA showed the world blitzkrieg part 2 in . the russians learnt the `new` warfare methods in the Balkans.
