Technically not my purchase, but a dog bed, bought by Mrs Bear. For the dog, obviously.

Welcome back TG, it'll be interesting to watch the descent into chaos that you are bound to bring to these parts with the crazy uber rigs that are bound to follow. It is nice to have you back around these parts again buddy. Hope you're doing alright?

    Woohoo! Si's back!

Si, pick up some 780 Tis if you have the cash spare. The 780s I have are hands down the best cards I have ever dealt with.

I so nearly went for a Ti myself with the extra cores etc, but settled on a MSI GeForce GTX 780 Twin Frozr OC, I'm not sure the Ti is worth the extra £200 even if it's faster than a Titan, Titan is just overpriced, your right about the 780's though I paid £390 and it's really cool, quiet and worth every penny and you got three FFS :wallbash: :D

I have been chosen by BT to receive a free upgrade to fibre optic, apparently- appointment booked for 4th of Feb, looking at around ~40-50Mb down & ~20Mb up, which will be a big improvement on what I get now:

I was considering upgrading anyway even though it was an extra ~£10-15 a month, but for free- why the heck not eh...

Getting a Zotac 780 AMP soon. Possibly collecting today if the person gets back to me.

£50 cheaper than retail price with warranty and a few hours usage. :D

Picked it up yesterday (C2W), fitted a set of Shimano M530 pedals this morning and took it for a little ride, the seat needs to go! its nowhere near a comfortable as my Spoon. Other than that though I really happy with it.

Three fans looks good, I just can't bring myself to buy a reference model card when there are so many good alternatives with better cooling and already o/clocked with a warranty, saves me attempting to o/clock and frying it :D

I thought I might need a bigger PSU as I have a 550W PSU but it is a seasonic gold model and I've had no problems, I use a zalman fan controller with a Wattage display on it and my system, i5-2500k @ 4.4GHz, 8GB RAM, GTX 780, one ssd and one hdd and it never pulls more than 210-220W

Love the tech, disc brakes, flip changers on the levers, it looks quite short but could be the straight forks and big tires, it's not a hybrid type but those tires aren't skinny racing types are they?

I used to like cycling, not in a competitive way just for exercise and seeing the scenery, I live in Cornwall so there's plenty of scenery but most of it is at the top of a hill, plenty of them in Cornwall :blah:
Make my old Sun 5 speed look a bit sick :hehe:

The tires are 700x35c so 1.35" wide on road sized rims, I think I'm going to get another pair of wheel built for a set of super skinny slicks. My frame is the smallest size they do 50cm because I'm a short arse and the 53cm was a tiny bit too big!
