Our VM Stupidhub is left on 24/7... the energy saved turning it off for a few hours is negligible and not worth the ballache of waiting for it to settle down after turning it back on...
Rarely turn my computer off let alone a router. You would save the same cash with one less kettle boil than turning the router off. Lots of fixed price 18 month plan deals out there at the min. We dropped from £75 a month to £38 by going to one of those.
well if thats how you see then use: CØ2 ( Been playing with PCs since that was standard ) and what happed to 7 with the line through? When I was in Kindergarten I remember the temp. postponed a numbers lesson to make sure she taught us to write 4 the correct way. like this: 4 or open at the top.
Yes, but it's like looking at individual calls on an itemised telephone bill. That call was "only" 75 pence, but the bill came to £200 for the month. Cut out all the unnecessary expense, and you find that you save considerably more than £5.
It never even occurred to me that people would even think about turning off a modem or router. When the power was out for a couple days last summer the modem and router were the first thing to get backup power, followed shortly thereafter by the fridges and freezers (had to get the generator for those beasts though).
If you're penny pinching some routers come with an eco mode. I'm not sure of all the features but when it's idle or between a set time period it puts itself into a low powered state and/or turns wifi off.
i never turn my modem off, but the router gets turned off if nobody is home sounds like your setup has the modem integrated into the router, so i guess leave it on?
