I'm no car nut, but I think its a MKII Golf.

In the last trailer there, what is that orange BEAST and 13secs?

Glad it's back as I love watching Top Gear but they need to do more episodes in each series.

Who could forget? Anyone who's a fan of the show probably put a big red circle on their calendar once the date was announced.

An Ok start to the season I think, the old hot-hatch test was a bit over-silly but bearable. 6/10.

However, I'm very glad that Top Gear is back on air again! Yipee! :D

Top Gear are using my joystick lol.

....and NCIS were using my speakers in the mobile unit (about 4 seasons back) :)

In the trailer. "The town's called Chernobyl" :/

Annoyed me. BBC should be better informed.

I kinda knew what was going to happen when Hammond went back downhill, but I still lolled when it happened. Looking forward to the P1 review next week after the disappointing video(s) from Autocar - I'm hoping Clarkson will do the car some justice.

Glad it's back on but that old hatch stuff dragged on, would of been much better if they halved it and actually reviewed the new hatches.

definitely, although there was a town of Chernobyl. but the town itself is Pripyat ( as any Stalker fan will know )

but the whole area is simply known as Chernobyl after the plant

Yeah, I would have let them slide if they'd not shown shots of Pripyat :D

Given that they went there, I doubt they didn't know. It's for the audience's benefit.

Was there a cap on spend or something I missed? The 16v gti is the one to buy mkII surely. Someone should have bought a Renault 5 GT Turbo as that actually was quick, at least to 60. Then there was the 1.9 205 or whatever other French turd like the Williams Clio.

Not sure I could have forgiven them if they had sent those 'sploding though.

My thoughts on Sundays episode was meh...
No car review or previews, nothing really memorable.

But we all know the P1 next week is going to have everyone glued to there screens, cant wait!

It managed it in the 6:30s if the Autocar review is correct. :)

At least this season, with them surviving the large comedy explosions, they've got rid of the pretence that these "real world adventures" they go on are in any way real - and not completely and utterly scripted.

I'm sorry, but these days its more a lame comedy sketch show with a middle aged theme than a car review show.
