    I think it'd be hilarious if the movie starts off all happy and peaceful with a simple miner gathering tools and building a little house for himself etc. then gradually descends into a survival horror film when Creepers arrive and the rest of the movie is the character frantically battling to stay alive.

    Throw in some massive-scale elaborate creations that the character stumbles across (nod to the community designs) in the form of huge ruins or temples (sort of like the very very end of Dusk 'Til Dawn) the character attempts to hide in and it could be pretty epic...

    I foresee digging, Java crashes and other bug related stuff, and mods. If it doesn't contain these, it's not a true minecraft film.

    Oh and the inevitable digging down and falling into lava.

    What really worries me is the "live action" tag...which to me sounds like it's just going to descend into yet another survival horror film (I'm not feeling as positive about this as ChaosDefinesOrder is)

    When will Hollywood learn that just because it works on a PC or console, doesn't mean it'll work in a movie?

    Surely nobody is a fan of them? The first one was okay and the characters at least looked right but the sequel? Urgh.

    W-why...? I'm having a hard time imagining this. Surely it's going to be light-hearted and comedic, why not just animate it?

    My thought's exactly. I took my daughter to see the Lego movie and I just couldnt get in to it. Brat loved it though :D
