The customs check on a custom keyboard carrying case...
And a Dock for my laptop, a Sony Vaio S13p. Those things have always been €200 or so but then I found a place that sold it for just €49 after asking some questions.
The power brick and internal hdd should be more than that already.:D

Remembered I had some funds sitting in my Paypal account so decided to drop it on one of these and a couple of lenses (have had my eye on an E-M5 for a while):

Very impressed with what I've seen so far though I haven't really put it through its paces yet (waiting for the lenses to arrive).

A customized Kassai Greyhound. Black/silver with horn overlays and strikeplates, can be drawn guaranteed to a full meter draw length. It's a monster of a bow with the draw of a yumi at less than half the length. Now I need to build some arrows to match, which will be quite the task given the size.

The ancient copper is gorgeous but I had troubles with it forming fluffy growths on the pen nib as it dried out a bit. Works wonderfully with a dip pen and brush though.

A KryoFlux: a device which interfaces with old floppy drives and acts as a universal controller, allowing software to take a precise image of the state of the magnetic flux - regardless of format. Basically means I can take an image of any floppy disk I can physically fit in a drive, with no concern as to what machine it came from.

Currently waiting on a specific 5.25" drive to come from the US, which I'll modify so it can move beyond track 0 to "track -8" - an alignment correction required to image double-sided floppy disks that were used in single-sided drives. They're known as 'flippy-floppies,' 'cos to make the most of their capacity we'd physically turn 'em over to record on the second side. I've a lot of Commodore 64/128 flippy-floppies, but you can't image the entirety of the second side if you don't have a modified drive 'cos double-sided drives aren't aligned the same way on both sides - and if you physically turn the disk over, the drive think it's not spinning any more and craps itself.

S'not a particularly big job: bit of grinding, bit of cutting, bit of glueing, bit of hammering and a simple transistor-based circuit to bypass the "why would I ever want to move backwards from track zero" logic.

I don't think so, I said to the guy that I felt bad about only paying £2.24 for it though. I did feel really bad for the seller to have only got less than a pint. Still I now have a new case with only minor cosmetic defects. Result.
