A good time to be a PC gamer with both this and Killing Floor 2 announced on the same day.

It's interesting to see this happen, in a very good way. Their new subscription model for the UE4 devkit will definitely make them a hell of a lot of money as will the generated content from that.

Still, UT was always a blast. Chaos UT for the original was something special, especially the frikkin alternative to the flak cannon. Damn those bouncing little *******s!

UT GOTY Edition was the first PC multiplayer FPS I played. I can't wait for this either! :D

It's going to be good to play CTF-Face again :D

    Headshot!

Edit: Couldn't resist, installed UT99 again and played a few matches against bots. Good times!

I'm going to do the same tonight if I can fit it in!

HEADSHOT! :D Ah yes, fond memories! I actually loved the UT and Unreal story as well. There's something epically futuristic and apocalyptic about it that appeals to the Sci-Fi fan in me. Even hearing the words 'Liandri Corporation' brings back memories of playing the first Unreal games as a kid :thumb:

Ignore UT3, forget UT2K3 (yes... there was that... it was like the Windows Vista of UTs)
For once, I agree with Gunny on games. :)

2k3 was a******* love child of UT and quake, it worked quite well but had some poor level design.

whats this "for once" ****? :D

hahaha I disagree with your opinion on games quite a bit. I just normally stay quiet, since I game so little these days that I am probably not entitled to an opinion by most peoples' standards. :D

UT and UT2004 had some of the best MP modes out there.
If UT2014 fulfills its expectations regarding the legacy left by its parents, I think I will need an additional keyboard and mouse (I broke my mouse playing UT2004...ups).

I remember being able to play the UT2004 demo online, but you could only play 1 or 2 maps. It was amazing!

I played UT99 and 2k4 competitively for some of my best years - so I of course welcome the announcement.

I just hope this community influence doesn't mean it will end up being Unreal ELITE EPIC BADASS TOURNAMENT 2014 WARFARE EDITION with extra killstreaks and kids.

who needs killstreaks ? the best part about getting a killstreak in Unreal Tournament has always been hearing the announcer shout out GODLIKE!!!!!

but i do understand what you mean about all the generic ( read COD ) fanbois ruining this
