    Hi. remember me?
    Have some final pics:
-Here's the muffin with the original skin.
-An attempt to get the PINK lights photographed. She didn't power up completely without perif's, so there's only one LED.:(
    [IMG]
-Photographing something black usually gets you a black spot, even with good lighting.
    -Lookit mah butt.:D
    [IMG]
-Knowing people are looking is giving me a dongle.
-I found a universal size reference object that isn't plastered with branding! I gotta copyright these things so Mr. Skip can't use it.
-The face... after butt pics for some reason.
-The hard drive plate came out pretty tasty.

OK, that's it. I hope you enjoyed the project. I will say the hot glue on the drive heatsink came loose. We kind of expected it to though, didn't we? I redid it with silicone and life went on.

One of the lollest project logs I've read. The three-way action going on was.. different.

And the dongle picture. Oh my word.

It's turned out really cool though. Mucho impressivo.

@Nexxo - I should do some checking into that. I ran it all day not long after I finished it. It didn't get hot enough for any chip throttling to happen I think. I need a chance to do that again to get some temps posted.
@Kenco - Thanks.:D The troll count around here isn't what it used to be. It feels lonely.

Some full-frontal hot chip action would be just the ticket, thanks. :p

That's a tiny heat sink & I'd be surprised if it goes much over ambient temperature. :dremel:

From the adventurous to the flat out performance, plus monkey face power.:clap:

I always thought there was something cool about those cast aluminium HDD enclosures. That's a really cool use for one. Well done as always.

There is something about it that's bothering me though. The former HDD plate and the heat sink side aren't equally wide. why don't you add another acrylic strip to the right side as you did to the lower side?

Also I think the HDD plate is begging to have your name and the project name engraved into it.

@Nexxo - Will you settle for tepid?
I don't think putin's temp can be changed. There's always one really freaky temp.
The drive seems to be the hottest component. Ambient is 76F.
    @Waynio - Sarcasm noted.:D
@Ocelot - I feel it's better this way since it gives me a tiny bit more space to fit connectors. It's kinda cramped back there.

-Also- posting from NUC.:D The silence is kinda freaky. The only issue I've had is one that was there from the start: The finicky startup. When you plug it in, everything lights up, but it's off. You have to touch the power button which turns the lights off, and doesn't re-start. I have to pull the plug and restart to get it on. I probably should poke around in the bios again about that.
