That's a Nitecore Extreme ripoff :D They copy the Extreme because it's one of the most badas looking lights in the world :cooldude: Would you mind linking me to where you bought that?

Thanks, I'll be adding one of those to my EDC rotation :thumb:

I would't buy a knife from anywhere other than Heinnie Haynes now. Their customer service is second to none and they have easily the best stock of gear in the UK.

Yeah it's cosy in there, when I get a decent enough weekend free I'm going to shorten most of the cables which will help quite a lot.

It's actually more of a problem having a modular PSU because ALL the cables cause issues with the GPU, whereas a non modular PSU would have all the cables exciting far enough away.

    Ditto.
I ordered an item the wrong size, sent the missus down to their shop to ask for a replacement, wasn't holding out much hope as I'd trashed all of the packaging.

The day she turned up the shop was shut as it was the day before their new web site launched and everyone was in debugging, getting it fly right and putting everything in the right place, a knock on the door they opened up just for her and swapped out my mis-ordered item for a right one

Only down side, she has banned me from going there, something about wall to wall display cases and a kid in a candy shop with a credit card :sigh: wimmin I don't get what they're thinking most of the time :sigh:

Samsung 840 EVO 500GB. Got annoyed with having Steam on a 256GB drive, so decided to up it.

Which battery pack did you go for Ian? I've been looking at the Cheero Danboard one for a few days, I also need a 10,000mAh+ one this summer.

I saw these on iBood today. I was surprised how cheap these were.

I've been eyeing that up as well, to replace my old 2TB Firewire 800 WD MyBook. Which disks are you putting in there?

For now it's just going to have a couple of 1Tb sammys (non Raid) because it was either them or the GPU in my new build :sigh:

Eventually I'll get a couple of 4Tb drives and set them to Raid 1 which should last me a while.

Yeah I was going to put 2x 4TB WD REDs in it with R1 enabled to use as backup.

Dell Venue 11, hopefully it'll be a worthwhile upgrade from the current Toshiba Encore 8.

I was in Asda and found a 10400mAh pack made by iTravel for 30quid.
If the charge lights are at all accurate (!) it came with half a charge.
    2 outputs - 1@1A & 1@2A.
I've almost topped it off from a 2A mains charger, and it's stone cold.
I'll let you know how it works out (It has to support a GoPro Hero3 Black, a Nexus 5, and a Nexus 7 wifi).

I wanted one because I have a rather full August this year (Carfest North & the World Scifi Convention @ London Excel within 2 weeks of each other).
As you can imagine, I'll be away from power for quite some time at each of these events (Carfest more than the Scifi).

Bahaha, if ever there was an example of "preaching to the choir" this is it :hehe:

The ~8TB R1 array will be holding a weekly image of a Raid 5 array consisting of 5x 2TB :thumb:

Thanks, I'll have a look at that one. I need it to experiment with for a Raspberry Pi project which will be installed away from mains power. I'll probably end up needing several of them, so the cheaper the better.

Let this be the page where I ask a question about every post! :p

What platform are you using evernote on? I had it for iOS a couple of years ago but switched back to using the native Notes app with iCloud backup.
