What shutter speed do you guys shoot at when doing autosport stuff ?

I took my camera to the track for the first time yesterday and loved it, but I need to practice a lot more. Didn't turn out too bad though what do you guys think ?



Was using my 600D with a 200 L series prime lens.

 

That squirl is plotting something... world domination perhaps?

Not bad, but the fast shutter speed makes the car seem parked there.
You might like to dial down the shutter speed a little & pan with the car.
This will blur the wheels & background, giving a sensation of speed.

Good on ya, and it's also excellent news to hear that VERA has been repaired and is flying again. I hope to see her and 'Thumper' at Goodwood Revival in a few weeks time.

West Sussex is a bit far for me to drive twice inside a month, but I can recommend a good inn about 30-40 minutes away from Goodwood which does rooms for around £70/night, and really good food/beers.
Personally, I'm planning to hit up Southport on the 20th-21st.
