Probably a good thing; IIRC, completed mods are not eligible for MotM ;-)

Oh well, great entries as usual. Bit of a shame that thanks to the finish date I won't be able to make it into a MotM this year :(

Not sure who I'll be voting for, will have to choose carefully.

Correct :) MOTM is in-progress while the Modding Update is for completed ones.

Hi Maki. Is that for Flight case? I did look at it on my rounds this month but it didn't look quite progessed enough compared to the other projects this month. Maybe hold off completing it till early October and you might be surprised ;)

Seems backwards to me. To have Mod Of The 'Month' that actually has no relative connection to an actual month, as it isn't when it started, nor does it relate to the month it completed. It's just a random selection. So for me, MOTM should be for completed builds that completed the month before and then entered to MOTM the following month, with the 'Modding Update' being a rolling feature for works in progress. This way, works in progress could be featured several times throughout their creation as they come together, where as featuring the same project multiple times in MOTM causes contention.

That's actually not a bad idea. Bit-Tech seems to be quite unique in that it awards both finished and in progress work. Simply swapping the two around somewhat would keep the focus on new, exciting mods that people may have missed, but also allow finished builds to be featured in a contest. Whilst I do love the idea of featuring a WIP MotM like we have now, it does have its pitfalls in that where does one draw the line? Some projects go on for years, if they get featured say in the first 3 months of progress, then it's a bit of a shame, the rig could potentially have been 10x more exciting closer to the end. The good thing about featuring finished mods is that you can easily arrange them by date, it's also more likely that the mod will be at its best (final photos and whatnot).

Aah, although the flight case itself is only a tiny portion of the actual mod. Sadly I'm now working to a bit of a deadline (a bit of a lax one I guess, but still there) so postponing that long most likely won't be an option. Then again, I could always "finish" it and then add a sticker or something later :p

That. Exactly what happened to my 720 build. Don't get me wrong it's awesome I got nominated, but I'd rather had been nominated later, with a more finished build.

OT; Fantastic builds, going to have to vote for more than one this time. :thumb:
