I did a quick dns lookup and as mentioned before both domains forums.bit-tech.net and forums.weebls-stuff.com point to the same ip address.

 

Now the question is "Who's Weebl?" As he's recently updated his blog.

The sysadmins here should configure things such that the only way to get to the forums.bit-tech.net vhost is via that hostname alone, not via the IP or any other hostname.

 

How can two sites have the same IP at the same time, I thought each IP was unique to a site/user, that's assuming there is no spoofing or anything underhand going on.

 

Looks like Hexus and Weeble use the same managed hosting solution.

 

Nope IIS, Apache and other webservers can look at the hostnames in the http header and use this information to send the request to a specific website on their server.
