Apparently there is a cure, and the cure is to see so many grammatical errors that you CBFA correcting people any more. I reached that point a while ago.

I just amuse myself by reading it as it's written, then sighing inwardly at the futility. I do enjoy doing it to people at work who are twenty years my senior, who like their high horse and should know better.

If Apple wants to sell a product that teenage kids can permanently bend with their fingers in ten seconds, they deserve it. That's not vandalism, that's consumer information!

They walked into a shop and deliberately damages the stores good. That's vandalism.

I would say it is criminal damage.

The demote here is it's nothing new, put any kind of demo unit out and some numpty will try and break it, either to see if they can or 'I want to see how durable it is'...

The fact the iPhone 6 is known to bend [relatively] easily doesn't help...

Also further demote... they don't see the potential pitfalls of filming themselves doing it and putting it on youtube...

Asking 1000$ for this bendable piece of trash, that's criminal.

You don't have to buy. Neither do you have to walk into a shop and break the merchandise.

I'm always surprised at how people want super-thin, light smartphones that somehow will still have a long battery life and will survive being sat on, dropped, driven over, microwaved and dunked in a toilet bowl. Someone has not been paying attention in Physics class.

So what if it bends under stress. Any modern super slim device should be in a protective case anyway if you want it to stay in perfect condition. Nothing can justify or give you the right to walk into a store and deliberately damage merchandise. What they did was a criminal act and I hope they have to pay for the phone.

I agree, those kids should definitely pay for that phone.
But such an expensive phone bending simply from being in people's pockets (for just a few days) shouldn't be considered normal or tolerable either. It's a severe design mistake, and that should be made clear to Apple. (and not by vandalizing the phones in their stores)

I think probably most smartphones would bend if you applied that much force - who the hell sits on their smartphone anyway?

I could sit with my old nokia in my pocket but then it's alot smaller and has a rigid metal shell, would I sit on a phone with a large screen? Nah. Why - because it has a frickin large screen.

And no, I've never owned an iphone, nor do I own a mac.

Well, someone on youtube tried it with the iPhone 6 and a GN3 and the iPhone bent althought it did take a fair amount of pressure, but he wasn't able to bend the GN3 with his hands at all.

Oh I don't doubt there are some that you can't but why on earth would you? Spending that much on a phone I doubt I'd feel reckless enough to even put it anywhere near a situation where it would get bent.

Dropping it, well that's a different matter :)
