One of the worse ones I got was when we would lay down on our boards and use them like a luge. My elbow came down on the pavement for just a moment as I was going through a turn. I didn't feel any pain, but when the run was over there was a ton of blood coming out of the wound. It took forever to heal.

Falling down when standing up gave you a moment to react, either by rolling or trying to bounce back up and run.

I came off my mountain bike when I was about 16, coming down a hill at 34mph, wearing nothing but jeans, a white t-shirt and my helmet. It was a building site, so there was no smooth asphalt, it was just a rough base coat with exposed ironwork etc, and the sides of the road were front gardens of houses that weren't finished yet, full of builders rubble and piles of hardened concrete, mortar and blocks. I hit a raised manhole surround, which buckled my front wheel, I ended up doing a somersault over the handlebars, skidded/bounced/rolled along the rough ground and landed upside down on a pile of set concrete. By the time I got myself picked up and limped home, my white t-shirt and jeans were red in many, many places. It took Mum about 3 hours to clean and dress all the wounds and burns I had, and they took weeks to heal. I haven't gone down many hills at that sort of speed since :worried:

The ducks, the delivery, Clair de Lune in the background. This is as close to perfection as a video can get. :hehe:

    That's incredible.

That's the sort of thing that must give political spin doctors nightmares.

Where did you get oil pipeline from????

That's clearly a defensive vehicle barrier.

In Texas, where that was filmed, oil pipelines pop up like that with valves on them.
(Not in the middle of the road, though).

EDIT: Read YT comments - you're right. :duh:

I'm not sure you got that the video was a joke. I had hoped it would be clear after the pseudointellectual video title and way he said
    "bathing in menstrual blood"
for example that the whole thing was meant to make fun of Samantha Allen's original blogpost (which is where the script came from). I even added a":hehe:", just to make sure people didn't think it was serious.
Ah well, different people, different humor, I guess... :(
I'm sorry to have wasted your time. I watched it twice and had a good laugh and wanted to share that.
