    Thanks Matt! Yeah small steps but a lot of them ^^

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------

    I had a little extra work done on this. I made an IO cover shield. Again from the smoked plexi. One straight piece with cut-outs and one bent piece for over the top and the side.
    The smoked plexi is growing on me. It covers but shows at the same time. Depending on how the light is and from what side you are looking.

    The rear end has to be open because otherwise the gfx card won't fit with the backplate on it.
    When both are fitted you won't see any of this.

    [IMG]

    A handy little opening for the battery wire.

    [IMG]

    It is not fixed here yet because I am looking at it from all angles how I want to fit it before it is stuck for good :D

    I am really breaking my mind about the following. I was thinking about making a smoked plexi cover for over the heatsink and fan as well. Since you can still see through it but it also gives the lines of the window.\Again wanted to put it on stand-offs. But I ma just not sure if I should. I am torn over this.

    What do you think?

    I say use the cover on the heatsink and add some subtle lights behind it, ie a soft white glow :)

    I started working on some custom cables and sleeving. The stock cables and wires are too long or too short for what I want them to be and do. And in a small case like this there is no room to hide away unneeded cables. So I make them exactly as long as I need them to be. Yes that counts for ALL cables :)

    First off an easy start, the EPS cable. It is stock too short and for 8 pins. So I remade it completely only for 4 pin and exactly as long as they needed to be to route them through the dual layer top alongside the fans in the top.

    Next up will be the PCI-E cable that will just run to the front, behind the cover and then in a 90 degree flow into the GPU. Meaning I will get rid of one +2 pin as this GPU takes 6+2 and a 6.

    What do you guys think, keep the blue connectors or replace them with black ones? I feel like replacing them. I don't want too much blue like that.

    I would say replace them. Not a big fan of those colored connectors, keep it clean!

    Thanks baby, I hope to get there soon.

    Thanks for the opinion Ian, I did. Need to sleeve like 2 more wires and then go for the 24 pin.

    Nice color combo Tim. Do you have a idea how you will make the cover for the PU cooler? Looking forward to the design of it.

    Hey Alain, thanks. I am not sure yet. The GPU cooler has quite an aggressive look to it that I don't want to lose. But your idea is amazing. So I need to think about it how I can implement it.

    Thanks MisterX! Thanks and I will buddy. :thumb:

    The 24 pin that is standard on this PSU has a LOT of double wires, so instead of taking that all apart and getting uneven wire thickness I created a very small rainbow extension. It should be exactly the right length but I have taped it up now around a small diameter pipe to train the wires so it won't pull the plexi piece into the air :D

    I have made the PCI-E cable so that from either side of the case the blue wire is the 2nd wire from the right :)

    GIGABYTE GIVE-AWAY!!!!

    Yes you read it correct! Gigabyte has sent me some things to give away to users that follow this thread and reply to it.

    Well then Huk what is it we can obtain?
    I am glad you ask!

    Gigabyte HQ and Gigabyte BeNeLux have both donated gear.

    - A set of Gigabyte H11 in ear headphones! :rock:
    - A Gigabyte (leader in motherboard innovation) T-shirt (size L I believe);
    - A Gigabyte Facebook like towel (it is looooong and small);]
    - A Gigabyte booklet to make notes;
    - A Gigabyte pen;
    - A Gigabyte motherboard keyring (which I think is pretty cool, snatched one for myself as well :D)

    How do I get this?

    What you have to do is give me ideas :)
    That is right, you have to do part of the modding for me :D

    But seriously. Reply from here on with ideas for either the black build or the coming white sister build (the 2nd Phenom that will be watercooled). In a week time I will pick the best or most fun or crazyest reply and will awad it with the pack of stuff mentioned above.

    Thanks a lot for this opportunity Gigabyte!!! :clap: :rock:

    i think as the black build is so aggressive you should make the white build a very soft edged build, an angelic build. very stylish with subtle hints of awesomeness. hardline tubing etc etc.

    oh, and im a large in t-shrits ;)

    Maybe a white build. Smooth lines and super clean, think star trek bridge (new movies) :D maybe an lcars-ish touch panel on the front.

    And all photos must have excessive lens flare.

    Sent from my mind.

    hahaha you sound like my wife xD

    Not done yet. Currently I am having a conflict with Ubuntu on Opteron Prime. Sadly I only have limited time for these projects.

    Thanks for the advice Dave :thumb:

    Thank you Aramil. Great ideas. :clap:
