    Is there any plan for Bit-tech to implement HTTPS support?

    Obviously there isn't a whole lot of sensitive data on the site but has been a bit of a push from the EFF to increase the number of sites using it and SSL certs are getting cheaper.

    Seconded. T'would be nice to see HTTPS support, especially when logging in to the forum.

    I thought the EFF recommended using the free (for basic certs) CA StartSSL.

    Looks like "Let's Encrypt" is the EFF's move towards creating their own CA but isn't up and running just yet.

    the problem with this request is ads. there's about a 50/50 chance of ads having https support, so you'll get mixed content warnings, and then complaints from users... while it's a worthwhile thing to try and achieve, it doesn't work in reality
