Hehe, I have a save file around here somewhere of an ARMv5 compatible APU...

 

Been having a good nosey around house sites looking at what's out there. We are going to be finally in a position to get away from renting and into somewhere that we can actually do something with. The sale of a house we own in The Netherlands goes through at the beginning of next month so we should be able to put a deposit of £60,000+ on somewhere here.

With our combined wages being about £58k before tax, we should be able to afford somewhere pretty decent and still end up paying less than we do on rent at the moment.

We were going to consider asking our landlords if they were willing to sell to us and stay put but the more I look around, the more I'm getting excited at the prospect of somewhere far more practical.

 

Although in the other thread my post was dark I am actually quite happy with my life. I am the youngest data center technician in Chicago and got promoted in the National Guard, my woman has done nothing but loved and cared for me for who I am even showing genuine interest in making handheld game consoles together, gained custody of my little sister so now she's out of the group home. So my life is actually going quite well!

Just got over a bug, feeling better this morning. Going to dinner tonight with some friends, 1 of which I haven't seen in 5-6 years and who I used to see regularly at school. Should be a good time!

 

We managed to send a CAN message to an Arduino from a remote laptop, through LAN. One step closer to finishing our telemetry system for the Solar Car!
