Thanks! Still, after this little lot finish in April I'll actually get to call myself Dr. Then do membership exams that are even worse.

Today's purchase was for the Brompton.

Be careful with those, the silicone strap isn't very strong. I split mine a couple of weeks after purchasing.
Apart from that, there awesome! Good purchase!

Interesting. What was your fix? I need it to be able to come off the bike without fuss.

I sell them in the shop, I've warrantied a few because of this.

If the center of your bars are oversized, they will taper down to the standard bar diameter, just try to keep it out towards the thinner end next to the brake clamp.

I have quite a few ranging from some real cheap nasties to a couple that I paid upwards of £200 each for (including that one). Most of them do get used for general bits and pieces and I pretty much always have one on me (legalities restricting of course).

Part of the interest for me is the technical and engineering side of them and the materials that they're made with. That one has aerospace zero void carbon fibre handles with titanium and an s90v steel blade, all premium materials, hence the price.

Needless to say, I won't be heavy using this one...

It's a Brompton M, so no tapering on the bars thankfully.

Same here really, except for the "couple upwards of £200" part :worried:

The four things I almost always have on me are; a knife, a torch, my phone and my wallet.

That's a real beauty. I might buy myself an early birthday present ;)

It was either that Benchmade 940-1 or a Spyderco Vallotton

That's a tough choice! I've had my eye on the Vallotton since it was announced as well, and I will hopefully get my Spydie addicted hands on one at some point. I just wish such beautiful knives were legal to carry in the UK. I love my legal carry knives too, but they're so plain compared to most of the ones which sit in my display case 90% of the time...

Yes, a thousand times this. At the moment I have my 1st gen Spyderco UKPK on me and yes, it is a great knife with the black G10 and the S30v blade but I wish I could be carrying something like my Boker+ Kwaiken Flipper (soooo pretty) or my ZT0301 or my Kershaw OD-1 or, or or... the list goes on.

I will have the Vallotton at some point, I have been drooling over it for a long time and I have a feeling that it won't be too long in the waiting.

12w LED 'corncob' bulb ( eqv to about ~120watt incandescent ). My bedroom CFL bulb flickered, went a bit dim and started humming; turned it off, next time I turn it on I know it'll go bang and split open just like the previous one did (same bulb, same kinda failure)...

    Cookie.

Have you had a look at the Knog Kudos 3 yet? I am wondering if it might make sense as a light for my bike under my out in front Garmin mount on one of the K-edge combo mounts? What do you think?

    Also:

Can anyone remember those cool multi USB chargers that you were all buying a few months ago? What were they called?

I need something to charge my garmin, phone and two USB bike lights at work on. Its getting silly how many times I'm having to change things over a day.

I am looking for a decent bulb for my room that gives me light more than a two foot diameter from the bulb. Found some of the old school bulbs at a pound shop but they tend to flow up rather than fail. I think I might try a halogen unless anyone can suggest anything else?

Is that the GoPro attachment one? Yeah that would make sense to mount it like that.
