    If anyone wants to know more, Imagination Tech's published an early demo of Vulkan running on a PowerVR GPU.

    They're already back on the desktop, and have been for some time: they produce the Caustic ray-tracing acceleration boards for high-end workstation use. But yes, PowerVR Rogue is embedded - as my article clearly states, Vulkan is designed to work alongside both OpenGL and OpenGL ES and scale from the phone to the desktop.

    AMD have given Mantle to kronos as a basis of Vulkan *confirmed* in the way that Linux is a development of unix
