    I have been:
    A sales assistant in a men's outfitter.
    A Royal Marine.
    A Joiner.
    A heating and ventilation installer.
    A brickie's labourer.
    A ground worker.
    A car valet.
    A delivery driver.
    A steel erector.
A full time pain in the arse which has run through all the above.

For the past 5 years zilch following throat cancer and then discovering ageism is alive and well in this country or in Edinburgh anyway. So grumpy and bored old man best describes my current employment.

I work for a global life science supply chain company in their IT department. My official title is IT Support EMEA Region, so basically I work on the helpdesk resolving issues from 'I can't turn on my monitor' to 'my mouse doesn't work'...

It has its moments I suppose...

Job title is pretty meaningless for me these days. I'm a SQL Developer for a financial institution but do far more admin than I would like. I have been a development dba, programmer (contracting, for a number of years and for a number of companies), IT support tech/junior programmer, pc tech, salesman (remember Tandy?), bar/cellarman several times, assembly line operator, data processor (office temp) , bingo operator, painter's labourer, warehouse assistant and by far my least favourite, a tin labelling machine operator.

    Application Packager Team Lead

Was moved to a lead role in January, so a lot of my day job is streamlining processes and other bits on top of my usual packaging work. Enjoying the new role so far, it's a nice challenge, building on top of what I already know.

I should be knee deep in malware & incident instigation, but seem to spend most my time sorting out processes and managing staff.

previously senior security analyst in the public sector.

I was a Thatcher from the age of 14 - 27 (Master thatcher achieved at 22). I then packed it all in and retrained in IT. I have now been working for Compucare for the last 4 years as Tier 2 support technician.
