FYI No live broadcast can be shown in the UK without a TV Licence, this includes Time Shifting. However you can watch any live show that is recorded (from where there is a valid TV Licence) after the show finishes airing.

So the Torrent of Top Gear is perfectly legal to watch, it's the distribution that is illegal if you don't have a TV License.

I got rid of my TV license 2 years ago. I watch content from varying sources, the Mrs watches a lot of documentaries on YouTube and the little man takes his selection of YouTube, Minecraft, Pokemon etc... personally, having a schedule of programming is silly, I want to watch what I want to watch when I want.

Last week I sat down and watch all of Series 22 of Top Gear, personally speaking it felt like it was coming to an end.

It will be interesting to see how it all plays out. I have no doubt that all 3 will go to another channel/show/production company. Can't wait to watch lol

Why does everyone want TG 'Reborn' on Netflix? Keep it on the normal TV, much easier.

Ninja Edit: I couldn't think of a new thread title, So any better idea's than my current...

If TG goes to Sky or Netfilx, I won't be watching it again.

ITV or Channel 4 are most likely I suspect.

Clarkson probably won't "Get" Netflix enough to want to work for them.

I know there are other car shows out there, but one of my favorite bits, and from talking to people theirs to were the challenges they had to do. Without those and the "banter" (hate that word) between the presenters, it will never be the same.

I'd rather it went to Dave than any of the other channels mentioned. ITV would flat out **** it up, they'd have people like Philip Schofield and Paul O'Grady as guests, or turn it into some hellish celebrity It's a Knockout in cars.

I think JC* and gang will just start the ball rolling in making a new motoring show and then work out who to sell it to. It'll either go to the likes of Sky, Fox etc or maybe they'll just sell it direct to the public.

    Time will tell.

    * For clarity I'm talking about the JC who slaps people about over the wrong food, not the other JC who supposedly fed the 5,000.

That linked Tesla blog post is from 2011...

The EU does have flaws, but it is still the only thing that can stop the UK from being thrown back into the 13th century.

Clarkson would be a shockingly good fit for UKIP though.

Indeed it did. It should also be noted that they were impressed with the Tesla saloon, as all seem to be.

As mentioned earlier, Dave is in no small part owned by a BBC arm. It won't be going there.

Unless ITV can shoehorn And and/or Dec, Keith Lemon, Schofield and/or a phone vote in they won;t want to know...

uktv [operators of Dave] are part-owned by BBC Worldwide, so I can't see it though it would be a way for BBC to profit from Clarkson without [officailly] employing him...

... that leaves C4, who I can't see taking it/him on... or Channel 5 [with a TG-esque reboot for 5th gear or something new]

They didn't sack him though. They're just letting his contract expire. Doesn't mean they won't start another season next year. Kind of a cop-out really.
