Ah, yes. I remember now why I chose the rig I have. It may be slow and small, but I don't think I could survive a few hours of earpro-penetrating whine.

Definitely need flood coolant if you are going to be cutting at that speed. It would be catastrophic if the blade gummed up. That "tic, tic, tic" Is the blade catching/hitting chips if you didn't already know.

 

Yeah flood and mist is coming, also that's why I'm using carbide bits they can stand hotter temps although by looking at the chips it's not getting hot at all no bluing on them , I was going to fit a air line to it to clear the chips but for some reason the compressors gives off emi and interferes with control signals.

God know how to shield two compressors lol

Yes! Plug it into your neighbor's grid. It sounds like you need to shield the controller.

I've done better with lower speeds because the higher RPM was actually throwing the lube off and never making it to the cut. -Made a mess too.

Wait, 2 compressors? can you daisy-chain them together and not power the one closest? Just use it as a extra tank.

 

If you are getting interference through your wiring you could try a line conditioner on the CNC. Tripp Lite makes some relatively cheap ones that might help.

 

The controller is completely shielded and is all the cables which is all shielded cables that's why I didn't expect it, they are daisy chained to run a sand blaster both does the interference regardless of what one is used can't get any further away only thing left to try is a different ring main not got my hopes up though, Maybe build a shielded box around the compressors

Interesting idea and certainly worth a try, thing is the compressors are on completely different ring main from the computor but the PSU for the control gear is on the same one as the compressors.

Ah I see, well before you start spending money I would try running an extension cord to a different ring main from the compressors if you haven't already. That extra isolation might help. Out of curiosity, what power supply are you using for the drivers and controller?
