The Melo is a damn a good tank so far. More or less a complete rip-off of the Atlantis - even the coil heads are compatible - but I'm really liking it.

Just built my first DRA in my subtank mini and when i first used it i was amazing, never going back to pre built coils, but after an hour or two of vaping its going a bit dry, i self primed the cotton again and its nice again.

Im using 70%VG liquid. any help?

 

Sounds like imperfect wicking, keep trying & you'll master it, I use a small pinch of organic cotton so it has a tiny bit of resistance when pulling back & forth so it bunches up either side & make sure to not block the juice channels.

Different atty but should be a good example.

Looks good.
Next time try priming it by sucking in without firing until bubbles start rising & let it soak up for a minute or so, that can fix it sometimes.

 

I try to male a small gap between the cotton and the juice holes on the side using a bit of wire. Saw it in one of Rip Trippers videos and since then I've not had any problems with the subtank RBA.

 

The Kato mech mod came today, still can't believe ther price difference between official & the clone £175 vs $37 = £25 & that's postage included from China.

Crazy price difference & luckily I had no import fees.
I took it all apart to see how good it all is & it all seems good quality.


I'll give dripping a try soon, can imagine how much better it is & the fact you need to reapply juice would help prevent vaping too much so would be similar ritual to making & smoking a roll up.

The Subtank Mini can handle 70%VG in RTA mode - mine does it just fine. It's all in the wicks...

Once you're confident, this method apparently works well for high VG juices - I've not been able to get it quite right however:

I tried a dripper, called Freakshow mini but I enjoy the russian 91 much more.

 

Nice to HCigar making their own kit with genuine parts, certainly beats clones. And that looks damn well priced too.
