So true or built with the use of a major companies equipment at their disposal tbh I'm not sure why I post these things.

I agree, the argument for a category in the project / modding for entirely unsponsored work has been said time and time again but to no avail it seems if it isn't big, sponsored, and water cooled then don't bother attitude is how it is now.

I'm lucky really I have a mill lathe and I built my own CNC and I actually build things I'm going to use

Thats kind of what's slowed me down a bit with modding. That said I haven't had the time or space to do much modding.

It's good to see Tel making something with some thing he has made.

A non sponsored non CNC section in the MOTY could make for some very interesting builds.

What I have noticed in the last few years is a particular trend and a lot of builds looking the same, same style etc.

Any way back to the matter in hand, this is looking interesting so far.

I don't bother with sponsorship; I like to have total creative control over my project in what components I use, how I use them and also how long it takes for me to finish a build. :p

As for Teel's CNC: it is said that the function of home workshop tools is to make more home workshop tools. :D

Its instant gratification from people that are not your 'peers' sums it up pretty well. Lots of 'Likes' and back patting....sponsors love it. Usual AMD/Nvidia flame wars with little actual facts being used.

Im very much a forum head myself....that spends too much time on OCN.....

In other news,im adding a 3d printer to my 'lab',perfect for rapid prototyping at low cost......and making replicas of my genitals for the discerning lady about town.

    Sound advice.

Forums are just falling apart Tel....its not just BT. Hopefully it will all bottom out and become niche again.
    Until then.....

Lol so a large one then?

Yeah BT sure is slow these days.

I don't consider myself a modder or an engineer I like tools and enjoy making things all ways have.

Brass junkie here myself. It cuts so nicely, and has a lovely finish.

Hope so. Wizard UK Forums had maybe a thousand members, only a few hundred active, but it was hard-core modding and a great little community. I think we have a great little community of regulars here, but it kind of gets a bit lost in the noise. Still, Bit-Tech is still my favourite hangout. :)

It's the scanning process that creeped me out.:worried: -Putting a probe to your probe, or mashing your junk in the copy machine?
-Wait. Don't answer. I don't want to know.

Now that I think of it, One of those would be a perfect hood ornament for a Cadillac *ss-collide. -I'm not sure I want to get caught with a thingy and a tube of glue in my neighbors driveway, though...

Heh, I know a guy that took a "Dick Rambone"(no really, that's it's name) and stuck it to the hood of their car, then drove down the highway. Said it stayed at 80Mph! It's also made a trip up an escalator's handrail. Never let a bunch of over caffeinated and drunk nerds around adult toys.

Think I'll stop now, before I get myself in trouble. :D
