I really want to see that paint outdoors. It will really bring out the details. Another great build Daniel!

    Very nice B.
Makes me want to do some hard piping, really does make internals look superior to air cooling & cools better.

This weekend looks good for it me thinks!

It allows you to be really tidy with it...sadly people seem to think it allows them to make it look like a WinXP screen saver......

    Also!

Doing the survey was a bit of an irritant but gives chance for prizes, voted for ya, stiff competition.

Got my vote too. Whilst all the builds are good, they're eerily similar IMO. The fact that you modded it to support mATX was a real cincher for me.

I love black & shiny copper :D plus you added marble red & some flippy paint around the logo, fine tuned, not overdone or underdone, just right & a system most would love on the desk. :)

I cant see why no one else went for it,there is soooo much room to use.

That was my goal,I dont think it will age badly either.

Cooling is not stellar as the loading is a bit of an ask for a 360.

    And my axe! Uh, vote.

I'm guessing the temperatures under load are partly to do with the 290X? They're a good bit hotter than a 980, so would that have helped?

The competition may be over but the modding never stops...

Some final touches and the lighting, outdoor shots tomorrow!

Temps are good,Stock is 48c max on the CPU on OCCT and the GPU's dont go past 44c, not bad for a parallel full loop. Ambient is 24c

What is good is that the GPU temps dont have a knock on effect on the CPU other than equilibrium changes.

Photo for the Corsair link im using.

I have finished a quick 4.3@1.25v OC for a rough idea of what this chip will be like and to get an idea of the cooling potential of the setup,I had some initial concerns about flow rate and the low rad space.
That said,I am getting half decent results, nothing HWBot but I wasnt expecting that due to the much reduced flow to the CPU block.
Stress testing was done via x264 initially,it gives a good baseline before proceeding with more...athletic ....testing.

    Ambient: 20c
58c on the hottest core, averages of around 49c

20 passes of that and we moved on to OCCT,not Linpack or P95 as I dont need that kind of furnace testing.

Temps went up but not terribly tho, hitting 74c on the hottest core,66 being the average.

For a fully parallel setup and restricted rad space, this is pretty good! I can see another D5 or dual 10w DDC going in along with a EK XE 360 for good measure.

Ok,got my 24/7 OC finished, not a screamer but more than enough for the hot summer ambients and limited rad space.

Just settling in for some Elite:Dangerous...

And core temps from a 1h OCCT run.

Amazingly, the Corsair Link has caused no problems.....doesnt give full control over speeds but knowing what Corsair specs their fans with PWM wise,im not surprised.

Lots of BIOS and in OS tinkering to get the USB working as it should tho.
