Boards don't tend to lose too much value tbh - maybe knock off 10% or 20% if you wanted a fast sale

They revised the Goldtouch pads when Windows 7 was released, grab a later model or YMMV.

Think I may opt for a shiny new board then! Any good suggestions for a full (non giant macro sections ala Corsair K95) Brown switch board? Was looking at the current Ducky boards, but they use these weird feet now.. And the Shine 5 RGB looks great, but it has the same casing! :wallbash:

My Rapid-i has lost it's first LED. Looks like this is a common fault with them.

Debating whether to RMA or just crack it open and replace the damned thing to avoid buggeration. I know it'll kill the warranty, but I fecking hate waiting for RMAs.

[edit] stuff it, I have spare boards lying around - I'll use one of them and return the thing.

Is this CM skimping on component quality? Shame on them, especially on such a high-end and expensive board!

this. I've not looked back since i got my filco with browns. it was relatively expensive but i'm quite heavy handed (clumsy) and it's more stable than anything else i've tried.

I've been using a tenkeyless Corsair thing with reds for a long time now. Quite like it to be fair. I still have a das keyboard pro, but haven't used it in ages as the space on the desk was key. I'd like a filco myself.

Quick question for you experts. I've got a CM Storm Quickfire Rapid with blues and Massdrop has some ABS double-shot keycaps for a pretty reasonable price. I'm on the fence about picking up a set, just to change things up. Are the ABS keycaps compatible? They say they work with all cherry switches, but I just want to double check before I pull the trigger.

ABS is just the material the caps are made from - The caps will fit MX switches no problem.

I've had a couple of sets of the DS caps from Massdrop - they're fine as long as you have an ANSI layout.

@Spreadie, cheers for the quick response! Upon further inspection they're all sold out unless you pay extra for the boxed versions. At least for next time I'll know.
