I'm excited. Assembly will take a while, but I guess I really don't mind taking time putting stuff together. lol

I'll be sure to give some. The one I picked up is the Geeetech variant of the Prusa i3. The Prusa has pretty good reviews online for quality and such. Only downside I've read so far is the learning curve for use can be a bit cumbersome.

Will provide as much detail as I can! :thumb:

Okay, big update on the 3D printer. About four full football games watched setting it up. And another 4 days (during a week off vacation) to get it tuned to print nicely.

Early prints were a bit of a misfire.

Eventually got it creating something a little more recognizable.

Off to the interwebs to find some free modeling software to make the ribbing for the walls.

Initial prints of the ribbing were... lacking.

Much tuning later things started to come together.

    Evolution of my 3D printer.

So now I have some ribbing ready for the mod.

Some little inconsistencies were cleaned up with some filler & sanding.

Left to right: printed, fillered, sanded & painted.

And getting lined up and ready to assemble.

    Nice work , dear ToddK

but you know, you can t use gromets on this narrow field

    İf you use

    This is the result…

gaps between parts and compressed pieces together parts to turn it off,
because of the thickness of rubber

It will be overlooked , I think.

Doing some work on the power button. Going to etch the wolf logo into the sigil at the top in the UV acrylic. Power button and light will go behind that.

Picked up a mini switch from the local electronics store. To my dismay found out they are closing that location. Not sure where I'm going to pick up little electronic bits going forward.

Taped up some scrap acrylic. Since it wasn't thick enough I put multiple layers together.

The nice thing about cutting with the rotary tool on high is the melting kind of welded the layers together.

Chopped it down to the appropriate size and added a groove in the middle.

And popped the middle section right out.

And slipped the button down inside. Just need to drill out some holes for mounting.

Took the UV acrylic and taped a print out of the logo on the back.

    And etched in the design.
