Some shots with the plates in place and the res is tapped and fitted in preparation for the loop start. I still need to trim the exterior of the gasket down but its completely watertight....but now it has the taste for Human flesh after the chunk it took out of my finger....

I cut 24 mm spacers for the SSD plate, to clear the Bitspower 90's connecting the pumps, and screwed directly in to the chassis for a great fit.

I dont like the background tho...this a was a black one I mistakenly washed in the machine.....with detergent......

The accent parts are polished and are nearly all fitted.



Not much more to do other than sleeve and finish the loop. Tubing will be a mix of Copper and Glass tube
Just waiting on a second windowed door for the HDD side and she will be ready for EGX!

Productive morning for me,Second GPU fitted,wiring done and all I need to do now is the glass and copper loop.










Then its the tiresome job of a final polish with Autosol........

No wax? It seems like the inside will tarnish before you finish touching up the outside. Then you have the outside tarnish again and a vicious circle begins.

I can see the GPUs now. I followed the cables.
Also: Glass? Real glass? I can't remember if you are the one that did that before... If you keep up this fancy one-upping your next rig will require platinum and crushed diamonds.

 

I have only a week before this one is display at EGX,the acid etching and clearcoating will be done after the event as I can pretty much guarantee that it wouldnt be finished in time otherwise.

The tube is 12/9 borosillicate glass,I have tried this before but with bends and thinner tube,it didnt go well as I couldnt stress relive the tube after forming it....it all broke when I installed it in the case.

Hopefully this thicker tube will resolve that.

I think that as a 'recognized' modder I should push whats possible,something's work,some dont but its fun either way. I enjoy working with new materials,stretches the ol' skillset.

I totally laughed at this.

 

Basic loop layout is done,glass tube runs to be cut after EGX....although there is such a small amount of straight runs that I may just use the glass on another build,it would look like it was thrown in for the sake of it.
