    Thanks guys, appreciate it!
Trying to be different with a build is hard these days

    Thanks man!
I'm not to worried, once the wires are inside the combs the complete cable becomes very stiff.
You could literally hold a 1 meter long extension vertically :)
So once they are in shape and position they won't go anywhere.

First problem I would walk into would be the aluminum cases I often use :)

    Summer vacation!
And like every year .. modding! :)

I've been looking for a proper solution to support the GPU's and Rads for a few weeks.
Then I found this in a dusty corner at work.
Nickel plated copper rails which are used for 12V halogen lamps.

First had to brainstorm and draw a few hours about the loop and some other things

And finally .. think I got it :)

Made bends in the Rad supports.

    Sturdy stuff.

    And making mounts for it.

The radiators are being pushed to the inside by itself because of how I mounted them.
These supports will make the whole more sturdy.

    And starting on the loop.

Lovely working with PETG, pipecutter and deburrer :)

Here a little video about the Henco deburrer.
18 months ago I saw an air-conditioning guy working with PVC/Alu/PVC pipe.
I thought .. that should work with acrylic too, finally found the 12mm version a few months ago.

And making 3 bends to save some extenders and rotaries.

Bottom done according to my drawings :)

    Fitting the GPU supports.

Now to drill some holes in the backplates.

And make the holes in PCB's a little bigger :O

    From M3 to M4.

    Done!

Next update more on the loop!

looks like a modern piece of art - more than a pc!
would have sh!t bricks drilling bigger holes in a pcb like that

Technically, the rails can be called tubes since they are hollow. ;)
    Looking sharp, and heavy!

Thanks man! I once did the same in a MARSII .. I did **** bricks back then :)

At work we always use the word 'rail-system' for these kind of things. Already had some questions where to get it and had to google for '12V rail lamp' stuff to find it.
    But yes it's tube/pipe :)

As in your very first comment in this thread.... you were also right
Should've stayed with ITX and single small GPU ... but nothing was available at the moment.
I did several tests and a single fitting can hold up to 10kg.
However when you build a structure which seems very sturdy, you could throw it around, after a few days it will sag like a pudding lol.
Off course you can make the structure so it won't be able to sag but you would need such an amount of Q-blocks and connections it wouldn't make sense anymore.

Therefore this particular project .. will just go on to make it look nice.
    The loop/case thing .. soon ;)

Shame that you couldnt fulfill your brief,no shame in taking a diversion tho if it works out for the better.
Maybe frame the rig with the loop instead rather than a loading structure?

Most of my modding is like ... I'll see where it goes.
At this moment I really like where it's going now, without a structure or frame... but who knows what will happen the coming weeks :)

This year 2 weeks on a nice camping place where my parents also are.
I thought .. if I really want to relax .. why not take my hobby with me? :)

Because the week started with bad weather (off course) I was able to leave the pc in my parents caravan.

Great spot when it's raining outside ;)

    A day of shopping.

Also finally some time to sort some things.

And 4 days later finally some good weather! The one in the middle is my little spot :)

    This is relaxing! :D

Waste after 3 days of working with the loop.

    And further on the backside.

Had to take a few shots in the sun :)

Decided to go home 2 days earlier so I could finish it with no people around me.

Creating cable to feed the pumps and Corsair Link

    The last cables.

Drilling and tapping the last hole.

    Finally filling!

    Loop 1 .. no leaks!

Quite some foam with 2 pumps @ fullspeed.

Decided to use anti cyclone fittings in the reservoirs.

    Loop 2 also leakfree!

I should fill it up soon ... because this .. just looks weird :D

    Even first boot went well!

    Soon final pics :)

I just love how industrial this looks, kind of reminds me of an old factory with the cooling pipes running on the outside of the building. I love this style, not something you see very often. The cable management is brilliant with a full 4 sides being in view.. top modding. possibly my favorite build this year.

Nearly everyone walking by stopped to ask what it was.
I asked them what they thought it was.
Things I heard: 'Steam Machine', 'Espresso Machine', 'Steampunk thing', 'Spaceship', 'Jukbox' etc.
    So much fun :D

Well thanks a lot man, means a lot to me!
I had no clue at the start where it was going and after 9 months of staring and building I was so happy to finally fill it :dremel:

Haha the last (brown) bear was seen in the Netherlands around 1100 AD :worried:
I'm sorry about the hat, she won't let me near her holy frozen collection.
