Case Mod - In Progress Bit-tech Modding Update - July 2015 in association with Corsair

he who is dependant on sponsors and dependant on automation should leave people who love doing real handwork alone and stop saying its not modding. thats so ludicrous.

my last case RAGNARS REVENGE, which arg will certainly not like, probably becuae i made it and he dooesnt seem to like scratch builds or wood or parts you cant buy, is a case with hardware in it in worth of approx 50 euros, everything else i recycled, won or is ebay second hand.
thats how things are done, not slapping well finished hardware together.
yes i agree with you l3p, as long as so called modders who cannot do certain things dont criticise those who can. thats aversive, simply mean, insulting modding scene complaining and actually against the whole.

 

I know it can be hard sometimes but people shouldn't be getting wound up by thoughtless unknowledgeable biased comments, anyone in the know knows & appreciates what goes into any project whether you are predominately a designer or a maker or both, case modder, object modder or scratch builder, sponsored or unsponsored, it should be expected really without a good article to explain better but without an article or post it enables ignorance to thrive & if not careful will put a lot of people off posting here, very likely already has long ago.

I've thought this for quite a while.
Bit-tech could really benefit from a front page article covering the types, methods & potential perks of modding & how & why some people are well sponsored or a quality post explaining it all as a sticky in the forum with contributions from modders who specialise in the various methods, only way to end petty arguments that often come up nice & easy really, point them to the link to go read if talking nonsense, it would cut daft opinionated drama out of the competition threads that should be enjoyed, not leaving people with a bad taste in the mouth.

Until then a simple emoticon as a visible disregard to the comment would suffice with daft comments, just let them wonder why, might lead to them learning by actually researching a bit.

 

Modding is modding,whether its a sticker or a 'dremel dat b"£"h" job.....

As long as you did the work,not farmed out to everyone else and bolted together at the end. CNC....is not included for me if you did the design work. The skill is in the design and turning that into a reality,the machine just does the heavy lifting. Anyone that has spent any time with CAD/CAM can attest to that. Saying its not a valid modding technique is nuts. Its like saying you cant use a dremel because you can do it by hand instead.....

I catch a lot of flak for this opinion and I dont expect it to be shared.


Arg.....You are being a bit of a tit tbh,To not like something is fine and to express that is fine also,but its not fine to bang on and on with nonsense that does nothing to justify your stance,you have a personal issue with Abbas,this is as plain as the stupidity shown in your attitude.

My advice?

Crap or get off the pot,bring your skills and show everyone what you have or flameout and dispel all doubt. Dont bother ranting over and over like an obsessive ex girlfriend that got dropped for a fat chick.

 

I like this opinion. I mean, if you take something bought and make it yours, whether by putting some decals on it, painting it, putting some fan grills on it, or going crazy on it, you have modified it from it's original state to make it personal. Same with the scratch builds, you have taken materials and modified them into a case. If you've done something to a case other than just put the hardware together, you've modded it.

A couple of decals and some fan grills probably doesn't require a worklog, but everyone of us here probably started with some little detail that made our case ours. And that's what the build logs are about, making our cases "ours". Do you have to like them all or even agree with them, no. But this isn't the "computer case liking" section. Should you appreciate the work and effort that goes into them, definitely, because they're doing the same thing you are, making a case their own.

 

Why must ı have a personal issue with Abbas.

I watch mostly what he does with attention.

But ı have the right to say what I find wrong for me .

It is indicative of the inability to say bad words.


Comparing is another error.

For example ı dont like last models of Mercedes .

But you can t say me; Show me your self build car better then Mercedes.

this is a nonsense.

 

It's one thing to not like a build but you attacked his whole style,dismissing it as "not modding"...when it so clearly is.

I think you are taking yourself too seriously.
