So this is happening! (Still not my 40k dream but beggars can't be choosers). Anyone else been waiting for this? Thoughts?
Necromunda is my GW dream game. That being said, I'm eager to see what they do with this. Mark of Chaos was fun, but a tad too simplistic.
40K is my game of choice, however: JESUS T**** F****** CHRIST this has so much potential!! *prays to Sigma they don't screw this up*
Interview talking about the E3 Battle of Black Fire Pass- one key bit is Warhammer total war will be three stand alone games that will link together (4 races per release)- their will be paid dlc and free dlc. Armies will be as varied on the battlefield as they are on the campaign map.

Not sure I have much faith in this working on launch. Rome Total war 2 and the one after it were both in bad shape on launch. Enough they were both fixed guess ill be purchasing this after a few months of launch.
Looks like it could be awesome who knows if it proves successful they may later do a 40k one (highly doubtful though in reality). I like the idea of Necromundo done as a game, that could work quite well.
I would LOVE necromunda done as a game - that was always my favourite GW game (some kind of DoW 2 style RTS / RPG would be amazing)
Thirded! I got into Mordheim early access, in the hope they might migrate to Necro aftwards. But given the slow pace of progress I think I might be waiting a while.
It still looks great but the latest trailer with release date and a god awful paywall for the pre-DLC sure does leave a very sour taste behind. Waiting to see what happens. Definitely not pre-ordering anything. Never really seen so many dislikes on one video so quickly.
Does seem gratuitous to have Chaos as DLC... I don't know my warhammer fantasy lore, but if it's anything like 40K then they're integral to the whole thing.
That's what Relic did with Dawn of War 2 though (minus the DLC bit). The initial game was SM vs Orks/Tyranids/Eldar. The expansion released Chaos into the mix and it was GOOOOOOD! I'm not saying it should be the done thing though. They are integral to the whole idea of Warhammer, and any lack of them take away from the base game. OT: Oh, Jesus I hope Relic have DoW3 in the works. I don't even care which format it follows. Relic are masters of their craft and I don't recollect them ever releasing a bad game.
Yeah but Chaos rising was more than just the adding of a race, it was like a whole game expansion. I too would love DoW 3 - I still play DoW 2 almost everyday, but apparently it is not going to happen since some companies went tits up.
THQ went bankrupt yeah, however Relic were bought up by Sega which led to them gaining quite a few GW licenses. Furthermore, the trademark for DOW3 was registered earlier this year, leading to a lot of speculation. Unfortunately, we've not heard any more as yet.
