By true RGB, I meant thousands of colors, and not just three. :) I've seen the eBay 5mm LEDs, and a lot of them simply switch between 3 colors, and ONLY those 3 colors.

I think Mayhems are ALL glycol based coolants, but I'm not sure, as I don't use colored coolant. I prefer colored tube. But check out this link:

    http://sevierlab.vet.cornell.edu/resources/Chemical-Resistance-Chart-Detail.pdf

If you check that link, find the PETG column, then scroll down to "ethelyne glycol". At 20 degrees C, it says "some effect after 7 days of exposure". At 50 degrees C, it says "immediate damage may occur. Not recommended for continuous use". Sounds pretty scary to me, so I'd stick to acrylic tubing. From what I read, acrylic tube is more "glass like", where PETG is a bit more opaque, so acrylic will show off the coolant better, even though it's trickier to work with.

DISCLAIMER: I'm only regurgitating other people's info, as I haven't done hard tube myself yet. I have NO personal experience with this stuff. But from what I'm reading, PETG tube is cheap stuff that really isn't suitable for water cooling (since most of us use glycol based coolants or additives.

PETG is plastic while acrylic is a more dens and rigid plastic and much similar properties to glass than to plastic. It's hard to find premix coolant that doesn't use ethylene glycol, so if you stick to PETG, you may want to use just distillate water + anti corrosion inhibitor and uv green dye.
Or you want to go the cheaper and safer way and just use uv green colored tube, monsoon have some nice acrylic uv green tubes. But than again if you want the glow in the dark effect that uv stuff will give you than you need uv leds, rgb ones won't give you that effect.

Between only these 3 colors? A 5mm rgb from eBay can produce exactly any color you want. With the "finished" led controller you can buy on EBay, which I use - can only do around 20 different colors, but you can program different colors on your own with this controller. So you have more to go with. And if you want to make something really spectacular you can use an Arduino and programme and I promise you will have unlimited rgb colors :)

What I know people use Mayhem and petg together. For example JayZtwocents only use petg tubing for a long time now, and he had only use Mayhem coolant too :)

Jay also recently stated that he won't use Mayhems coolants anymore. There was a big blow up between him and the owner of Mayhems (see his latest videos for details). I sent Jay a message about this via his forums, but he hasn't replied yet. Lots of people using PETG seem to be completely unaware of this incompatibility, but according to the chart, it is VERY real.

Thanks for the LED info! My plan is to use an Aquacomputer Farbwerk to control the LEDs through the Aquasuite software.

    Thanks Cheapskate :D :D :)

Would be really cool to make a super tiny TV computer :D then we talk tight :p

But I do realise the Tristellar isn't made for this this sort of modding. I can't even imagine how a M-atx Tristellar could be, the most amazing thing for sure! 60x60x60xm super awesome! More like a designed furniture science fiction than a computer

I guess you guys like porn, right?

    Here you go!

2 of 4 big tubes for the reservoirs done!

Also tested my Mayhem UV green coolant, but not really happy with it, so ordered more tubes and Mayhem ICE white pastel and lime/yellow dye, coming next week. Going to use the pastel to get "frosty" water and the dye to make it more light green if it's too dark.

Any questions? Don't be to shy to ask! I know I am not good giving you all the information though my english isn't the best and takes a lot of time to focus on both the swedish log and this one.

So just feel free to ask if you wonder something and I take my time to give you an informant answer :)

    More to come!

I have TWO very good tips for you people who's working with acrylic tubing!

These are awesome and I hope to see them out there.

First is how I cut my tubes, nothing new, but just wanted to show you.

I use a plastic piece from Ikea to place the tube in and then cut. Use masking tape and take it slow, and you get nice fine cuts :) Use a real quality saw!

    Now to the real stuff!

No matter how many tutorials I watch how to bend acrylic on Youtube or somewhere else, everyone is struggling with getting the silicone tube through the acrylic tube.

I am using a 100cm long Barrow silicone rod. 13/10.

First time I could only get it in 5cm - with olive oil! Impossible, couldn't find any solutions on the internet or any tips and tricks!

So now I begin my working with eating cookies as a boost and keep the bloodsugar on a steady level. :thumb:  :D

    What you need.

    Acrylic tube

    Silicone rod

a screw, small but big enough, around 15-20mm long.

Some lace (is this the right word? I have no idea).

    Fire.

And a hobnail/bolt (the right word is what?)

Put the screw in 7-10mm in to the silicone rod. Tight the lace with at least 2 knots. Burn both ends with fire.

    Make sure it's tighten.

Drop the lace through the acrylic tube, if it stucks, put the hobnail/bolt in the other end of the lace, drop it through the tube.

Put in the silicone rod 3 cm with olive oil in to the tube.

Pull in the lace from the other end, WIPS WOOPS some magic and you have the silicone rod through the tube in just a few seconds, quick and easy! Let the screw and lace sit in place of the rod if it works, don't mess with it. I have pulled in mine like a green Hulk and it still fine :) :dremel:

Hope you get it, it's the world best idea and works like a dream EVERY time!

Don't steal it and make your own tutorial without asking, then I will find you and....

I think doing the tubing runs outside of THIS case is Brilliant and is coming out nicely with the Photon Reservoirs

    I truly agree!

really getting the grip of how to bend now :) But it took som wasted tubes before I got here.

But more tubes is incoming next week, 8x60cm acrylic. Couldn't get any PETG.

I actually did this tube for the front. But I wasn't happy with it, so I have 2 bitpowers 30 degree fittings coming in on Monday. Because the angle is 30 degree exactly :)

    Hey people! :) :) :)

I am back with, not much actually!

    But it's going forward!

Earlier this week I received hopefully the absolutely last packages for this build and project from both Caseking and Coolerkit.

And I would like to thanks Mads Futtrup once more from Coolerkit which gave me 25% discount this time on the 2 Bitspower 30 degree fittings which you can find in the pictures, and some more green screws! About the green screws, they are totally awesome and nothing else like it is out there. But the manufacture has change the color from light green to dark green. The new forestgreen is super awesome, but I will stay with the old ones. Maybe I do change in the future.

I have only ONE tube left to bend in this project which makes me very nervous before the final now when it really comes down to if this thing will work.

The tubes between reservoar and the radiators in the bottom took 3 wasted attempts before I really got them perfect.

The J formed tube is maybe the toughest one to make, but got it on first try. Now I just have to make one exactly the same again :) Took 2 hours to make that one.

The tubes going side by side with the reservoirs are also in place on both sides, and I am falling of my chair all the time, they are just so perfect for this build and TOTALLY amazing!

Probably going to leak test this weekend. Just some small work left to do and then it's up and running :) Almost been working on this case for half a year now

Looking good!! Personally, I probably would have used some multi-angled fittings instead of the 30 degree one, just so you could have a straight tube instead of a tricky bend. But that's because I'm lazy and find bending acrylic tube painful. :)

    Loops are finally DONE! :D

A total of 8L water had to get through lol and now it is 2.5-3Ltr in the loops.

Pure Mayhem UV green, tried with a spoon of Mayhem ice white pastel in one of the loops, had to drain it twice to get the crap out :p
