Gawd I don't know how happy he'd be about that I do but it'll take me some time to find - attached to an email from years ago but I'll do my best.
Thanks for the upside-down version edit - I was sitting in my office trying to do a 180 with my head. Seems he does like the gesture, 'cos even though I was told no animation, I've got the gif'd avatar now. He was just playing me...
I know it probably wouldn't have been his thing but is there going to be a whip round for flowers/funeral expenses? If so I'm in.
Agreed, a just giving page in his memory. I would happily donate towards any funeral costs. Also, I know Tel and Kevin (G0UDG) were friends but he's not been on BT for nearly a year now, I'd hate to be the one to break the news but I think I might have to.
Well that's awful. I didn't get round to speaking to Teel directly much but he was visibly one of the most active members on the forum and contributed massively. Just thinking about the number of threads and builds he submitted, it's hard to imagine him not being here. Asbestos is horrific stuff. Speaking of which (and I apologise if it's insensitive to ask here, but I often miss forum happenings) what's become of J. Hanlon? He had an asbestos-caused condition and was having trouble with it too, but I don't remember hearing of any developments.
He was always funny, intuitive and intelligent. Also, one of the maddest of modders that we could hope to be.
If it makes you feel any better, he would have loved the typo We'll miss your wicked sense of humour and your modding talents Tel, 61 is way too young to go He's still with us, just doesn't post on here any more (for seemingly obvious reasons).
There's not much that I could say that hasn't been said in this thread already. A sad loss to this forum. I was always insanely jealous of his homemade CNC machine.
Guys I've put the suggestion of donations to Terry's family so I'll get back to you on it soon I hope.
Hey Carrie, I wanted to say thanks for letting the forum know about Terry. Hope you and Terry's family are bearing up okay.
Very sad news. I didn't have much contact with him personally, but I seem to remember he gave many things away. Seemed like a very generous guy and an asset to the forum. Condolences to the family.
Teelzebub was always an amazing character, very compassionate, very understanding. I've bought a lot of items from him in the past 7 years so i've had quite a lot of contact, he was always a great guy and had a lot of time for people on the forum. Very sad to hear the news, RIP Tel
