Flights? Spa is only +4h from the chunnel, why not drive?! For Northeners the Hull->Zeebrugge ferry is even better.
Absolutely fly! (return flights were ~£80) Have a sniff of the beer over there and you're over the limit
From here I'd probably get the ferry to Amsterdam [well IJmuiden technically], downside is takes twice as long as going through the Chunnel... Bonus - you don't have to go anywhere near Hull...
We're driving over, getting a ferry from Dover to Calais, picking up a couple of crates of beer and supplies before driving over to Spa. We did look at the ferry to Holland but was 3 times the price.
2016 McHonda will have 223 horsepower more than that of 2015 So if the maths is right that'll mean the 2016 McHonda has... *does maths* 223 horsepower...
Interested to know how much of that power is from the ERS. By the end of the year the Internal Combustion part of the Honda lump seemed to be on par with the other engines. It was quite funny watching the car accelerate out of slow corners like all the other cars, then just give up at about 150mph as the batteries called time. The other question is whether it will go off like K-Mag's did in Australia, another blast of shrapnel like that and IS will be buying them.
Apparently Renault have given Maldonado the boot in favour of K-Mag Apparently PDVSA haven't coughed up the sponsorship monies, and everyone knows that was the only reason he was there...
AIt always looked on the cards with Renault being tied to Maldonado like a drunk night out in Vegas ending in a wedding scenario. They where waiting to see if their bride topped himself or they would likely have got an annulment at some point. I always wondered why PDVSA continued to flog a dead donkey rather than sponsoring someone else. It doesn't inspire confidence if Maldonado is there choice of "worthwhile" investment. Hopefully Mags and Palmer will get a podium this season. With the way the press keeps mentioning Maldonado as a race winner I hoping Magnussen gets a win this season just to make Maldonardo's departure all the more sweeter.
Ill admit im happy to see him and his at times dangerous driving gone, but he has slowly been improving when he doesnt crash he had some brilliant tussles I have a feeling he just never quite got to grips fully with the jump in formula. Hoping JMag can do good things, not expecting race wins but just solid plugging away getting points shouldnt be beyond his or the cars reach. We wont really know what kind of car they have come up with till testing.
Pastor's parents (and Pastor himself) were close personal friends of the late President Chavez, plus that one race win made Pastor a national hero. Had the price of oil not been tanked PDVSA would have probably kept paying for Pastor to drive as long as someone kept taking the money. After Chavez' death Pastor was the only Venezuelan driver to keep his government funding. I hope K-Mag and Palmer do well, they aren't going to win anything this year (barring insane luck) but consistent points would be nice. I wonder if 52 crashes in 5 seasons of racing is a record?
I was just thinking just that, RedFlames. Real shame it's not the final one. I hope they don't move too far from that.
Haas and Renault going black. I can see some blue creeping in but like redflames said I quite like it!
